Spoilers - Keepers Eyes Only

Players should not read any further.

A monster, the Crawling One, captured the archeologists and is sacrificing them. To find the cave where the Crawling One lurks, the investigators must:

  • Sweet talk the military governor of Easter Island
  • Get introduced to the local bird-man
  • Swim to an underwater cave
  • Fight off a dimensional shambler and several deep ones

Only then, can they deal with the horrible Crawling One and its plan to prepare the way for Cthulhu.

Keeper Comments

The Crawling One, is a mound of worms and maggots in the shape of a human body. Since the body can walk, it is easy to confuse this with Shadows of Yog-Sothoth: The Worm that Walks, the previous chapter of the campaign. Again, the problem of multiple authors is evident.

Presumably, the investigators read about the disappearance of the archeologists in a newspaper but there is no handout for this.
