  • DART: Masks of Nyarlathotep

    PoC

Out from the HPLHS comes their biggest audio drama yet (at over seven hours long), an adaptation of Chaosium's classic Call of Cthulhu campaign, Masks of Nyarlathotep.

The digital download version can be purchased and listened to now, with the physical release promised in a few weeks.

A number of variants are available, from download-only and CD, through to "Deluxe" and "Super Deluxe" releases (ranging in price from $35 to over $900 USD).

Now you can start off the New Year with an epic tale of Lovecraftian horror and adventure!

I must say I am surprised by the lack of hype over this long-awaited product – here AND in the forums. I can't imagine I'm the only one blown away by the beautiful way the HPLHS pulled it off? The way they make the radio drama an absolute delight for us roleplayers. All the nods to how problems are solved (including character deaths) being just one of the absolute delights in listening to it.

Any one else hopelessly in love?

Considering the sheer amount of hype around virtually every product release these days, a little less hyperbole may not be a bad thing...

It’s only just come out, people need time to digest it, then we’ll hear what people think, if they choose to share.

Haha! Perhaps you're right, master Maclean. Thanks for being the voice of reason. I just felt like: It's been about three days. I can't have been the only one binging on this. So, yeah, the lack of response surprised and, I'll admit it, even saddened me a little. Hence my prattling and unqualified hyperbole 😉☺️

I'm enjoying it -- but savoring it as I work my way through all of the delightful Dark Adventure Decoder Club messages. I'll be much more excited when I can listen through it again with any other distractions than props in hand.

Sounds nice! Can you describe that experience?
