CBC, Jan 2019: The Blade Runner Years

    PoC

A new year and a new (well, slightly revised) Cthulhu Breakfast Club!

Yoggies gather once again in the cool climes of Yorkshire to talk of things they have seen and heard (and some things, quite frankly, they haven't – but that never stopped them before).

The January edition of Breakfast Club features LOUDER hosts, a new melding with the old News from Pnakotus, discussion of Kickstarter conundrums, and printing cthulhiana in 3D. Talking of "3D", this meeting was originally broadcast live in 180º stereoscopic video. Truly, we are living in end future times.

We also have a giveaway this month, a stereoscopic viewer to help join along with some of our forthcoming endeavours – details can be found in the CBC forum.

Welcome, once again, to the Cthulhu Breakfast Club!

    – and finally, something from Marty...

We're having our "Session 0" tomorrow (creating and rolling characters) and in two weeks will be starting the Peru prologue chapter and OH GOD I'M SO EXCITED!!! I ran the original Masks campaign in the past and it was one of the best experiences I've had with any module, but the classic thing happened and the group fell apart because of scheduling priorities. Luckily my new group is dedicated to the point of ignoring their own family's birthdays so I may just get through it! Has anybody else begun the new Masks yet? I'm so damn excited I just wanted to shout out loud about it.

Stealing Cthulhu is awesome! It’s a one of a kind product that literally dissects Lovecraft’s stories and turns them into bite size advice.

Hi all,   I'm starting to run 'Eternal Lies' and I have enjoyed very much your ideas and materials. Thank you very much!  We only have had an introductory session (making characters, Arkham & the hangar) so the next session will take place in Savannah.   I'd like to comment something about a minor detail. I guess that the players could ask Currothers or Mama Henslowe about the names that appear in the graves and the photography in Henslowe's Estate and they should know them. I would like to have a coherent answer and also, it could be an opportunity to give some context about the family.    Considering the dates in the graves, I would suggest that:    -Grant Henslowe was Douglas' older brother. He died because of the same contagious disease than Jonas Douglas (1917). -Mary Coleridge was Douglas' older sister. John Coleridge was her husband. They died the same year (car accident? or perhaps the same mysterious disease?) -Zachariah and Milicent Henslowe were David's Henslowe parents, so they were Douglas' grandparents.  -Jonas Douglas Coleridge was Douglas' nephew.  -Mary Margaret was Grant's twin sister. Anne was Douglas' twin sister. Both of them died when they were little children (2 years- 1 year). This is a pattern, that could affect Douglas Henslow personality. -Mildred Jones was Zachariah's sister and James Jones was her husband.    Did you have to figure out who was who? Did you find different conclusions?    Perhaps this family has an interesting story about its progressive decadence and it could include little bits of supernatural horror that worths to be narrated. In that case, the familiar story could help to model Douglas Henslowe's character (maybe he had an 'In the blood' drive). Do you have any ideas about this?
