Dark Ages 7e - Converted Scenarios?

Recommended Posts

AkronTony

Been wanting to run some dark ages scenarios.   I am about to start converting some of the older scenarios when DA Cthulhu as released.   Before I do that, I thought I would ask if anyone else has gone through the effort.

My approach would be to use the yellow BRP book, essentially the 6E rules. These rules are relative to the old Runequest and Stormbringer games and have a more complete yet simple and quick combat system for hand-to-hand weapons. I mean if you campaign is going to have combat, these rules are there. Things like dodge, parry, use of shields, two weapons, armor, mounted combat and other optional maneuvers are simply and effectively covered. My only complaint would be with the Range of bows, which is presented rather large if you compare it with modern guns. Just my opinion.

I suspect that if you picked up Golden Goblin's 7E Cthulhu Invictus, it would give you the majority of what you need to get 6E CDA to 7E.

I converted Goodwin's Here Be Dragons to 7e.   It worked well.
