I know that the Japanese love inserting the Cthulhu Mythos in their media is the following happen was not much of a shock but a plea sent surprise. In the last 2 episodes of Overlord in Japan the Lord Ains summoned a pack of Dark Young by invoking Shub Niggurath. It was fun to see how their alien beasts were able to decimate an opposing army.
