There doesn't appear to be a link to add this to the cart. Other items are working, but there is no way to add a quantity and the Add to Cart button is missing.

It's live now and the purchase button is now working ; )

To get around this, open "Call of Cthulhu RPG" on the main page, then "Supplement PDFs", then scroll to find the Grand Grimoire and click its "Add to Cart" button.

EDIT: and while I was typing that, MikeM had the site fixed.

Does anyone have any comments/mini-reviews of Chaosium's newest book?

It's pretty and has loads of spells plus some backup material about magic and magic using characters..

What sort of review do you expect a couple of days after it's released, at least give people the weekend to read it?

Is there a forum post for errors yet? I've just started flipping through my copy now and I noticed on pg 22 that in the Categories list, the "Bringing Forth Monsters and Gods" icon is the same as the "Making Monsters" one. "Folk" and "Travel and Transportation" are also the same, both on the list and on pgs 24/25. "Extending Life" also has a different icon in the list than it does on its page (p.24).

I love the cover of this book, it reminds me of the great covers of D&D 3E (which was pretty much the only good thing about D&D 3E).

Lots of content here, it's great having this as a pdf, but it's really going to shine as a nice hardcover in the bookcase.

Hopefully the print release is not too far away!

Hopefully the print release is not too far away!

it will be about 3-4 months—it's being printed in China. Our new approach for releases is:

- make the PDF available for purchase exclusively on Chaosium.com as soon as editing, layout and proofing is done

- open a corrections thread on BRP Central for a short while, so readers can submit any last remaining typos

- printing in China; the books will arrive in our three fulfilment warehouses about 3 months later

- when the shipment dates are known, we'll open up preorders for physical books

- when the books are in the warehouses we'll make the physical book available for purchase on Chaosium.com. Preorders will be sent out as soon as we get the books.

- send the books into distribution for game stores etc

—anyone who buys the PDF from Chaosium.com will get the full price of the PDF off when they order the physical book from us too.

@MOB

At what point in the timeline is the corrected PDF re-released to those who already purchased it ?

Once the final, corrected file has been sent off to the printer in China you'll be able to download the new version of the PDF.

This book is a really great resource - I've always found the spell descriptions very evocative and useful for scenario and campaign ideas. The requirements and details make them really useful for seeding the imagination.
