A huge thank you to my (not so) secret Shoggoth! I am very intrigued to see what you have sent but the package has been confiscated, to be returned at the appropriate time, a whole month of anticipation!

I did manage to photograph the wrapped contents of the package, I love the wrapping paper.

A most noneuclidian thank you to CthulhuBob for Season III of Tales from Beyond the Pale!  With it I am for once looking forward to my commute. (And thank you for ordering Season III as I was surprised by Season II from a non-YSDC friend who I hadn't thought knew of my Amazon Wishlist.)

May your Solstice be spectral and may the stars be right for you in 2017.

PS. I tried to post a picture but was thwarted at every turn.  Here's an Amazon link for interested folks: https://smile.amazon.com/TALES-BEYOND-PALE-SEASON-COMPLETE/dp/B019HPGPB6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480860881&sr=8-1&keywords=tales+from+beyond+the+pale+iii

Think mine has arrived - I had my wife inspect the parcel and put it away for Christmas. I bought a present at Dragonmeet, but I've yet to post it.

Thank you so much to my very generous - and very secret - shoggoth sender. The package arrived today, and though I thought about trying to keep it as a surprise till Christmas that idea clearly failed ;) Lots of lovely goodies in there. I'm particularly intrigued by the two Pekatan Manuscripts volumes, and look forward to poring over those. Thank you again!

Thanks to the generosity of Munchezuma, my library is two books richer:

Supernatural Lore of Pennsylvania: Ghosts, Monsters and Miracles

West Virginia Penitentiary

I look forward to reading these.

Thanks!

Thank you Secret Shoggoth! I had to open the box to make sure what it was...

I'll try to post a picture tomorrow, but I received a wonderful historic book on Providence, three little pamphlets, and a handmade cuneiform tablet.

Book: 29th Annual Report of the State Board of Health of the State of Rhode Island through 31 December 1906 (1912)

A listing of everything from the state of water supplies, to births, marriages, deaths, contagious diseases, sanatoria reports, milk legislation, and finally: control of the sale of narcotics!

A plethora of trivia and reports that leads to be plugged directly into a scenario or three!

The book also looks like it was in the home of a child at some point since their are odd scriblings on the end pages as well as what appears to railroad engines and houses on a more recognizable page.

(or are they the drawings of someone who lost their mind while scanning the catalogue of deaths and illnesses and strangle algae reports in the water supplies of Providence?)

Pamphlet 1: Early Rhode Island Libraries (1933)

Pamphlet 2: Odd Characters of Narragansett (1930)

Pamphlet 3: The Diabolical Mr. Hicks (1931)

All provided by the Providence Institution for Savings to their customers as giveaways

Oh and a very nice letter. I have an idea (or three) already from perusing the book briefly today.

Thanks Secret Shoggoth!

Thanks so much Secret Shoggoth for a intensely tempting gift!

I'm quite curious, but am keeping it under the tree for now, if I grow impatient, you'll be the second to know when I open it! For now, waiting for the fateful morning...

Many thanks to my very secret shoggoth,

Now I know the amazon agency can be efficiently used to preserve anonymity.

I'll try to save the lovely delivery for solstice but, it may be opened after a bad day too.

Again, many thanks!

My Secret Shoggoth's little packet arrived a few days ago now but technical difficulties have prevented me from getting a photo up.  Thank you for whoever sent this - it is beautiful!  You've obviously put time and thought into it.  I hope your own Secret Shoggoth has such wonders inside it!

With these Elder Sign decorations in a box lovingly crafted and engraved by my Shoggie's own pseudopod I presume my house is safe at last from things one is not meant to know.

Of course the Christmas Eve tradition of cranking up the Tillinghast resonator after dinner won't be the same this year but there you go...

I have received my Secret Shoggoth gift, and it sits, impatiently, under my Christmas Tree. I am tingling with anticipation, but a bit afraid. They external marking on the package have given me cause for concern...  :-P

My gift was begging to be opened, and so I did!

Thank you so much, Aklo - neither item was something that I had, and I cannot wait to dig into both of them!

Bah, can't seem to figure out how to attach an image. So here's what I got:

- A copy of Tides of Madness (2 player game)

- A copy of Black Wings of Cthulhu vol.3 "Seven tales of lovecraftian horror"

Great stuff!

My gift arrived from my Secret Shoggoth today, too. Thank you, whoever - or whatever - you might be!

I'm going to try not to open it between now and the big day, but I might have to do so. You know, for reasons...

I just received today my Secret Shoggoth gift, which, in an envelope laden with a truly impressive amount of stamps, turned out to be a copy of the third edition of Shadows of Yog-Sothoth! This is a great addition to my small but burgeoning collection, and I wish to give my Secret Shoggoth many thanks for brightening an oppressive final exam period. Happy Solstice!

A Dr. Henry Armitage, Mr. Shrewsbury, and Professor Gladius from Miskatonic University conspired to send me an invitation to an adventure in Antarctica.  Though the expedition sounds interesting, I feel a certain sense of dread after viewing the disturbing artefacts they included with the letter.  I feel that I must go - an opportunity for such an adventure comes along only rarely - but fear the effects on my sanity from the blasphemous knowledge I may acquire.

(To my Secret Shoggoth - thank you VERY much!  The gift is wonderful!)

Oh mysterious, monstrous, glutinous mass of hideous plasticity, forming and un-forming hundreds of various sizes of hideous eyes and mouths of gnashing teeth!  I beseech thee, hear my ecstatic howls of foul joy!

Unholy spoor!  This tome is a delightful curse upon my irrevocably damned mind and spirit!  Indeed, I am one who was willing to receive an item crafted by cold and pasty hands, or an unholy simulation of hands.

I rejoice in the knowledge that as I touch pen to paper, if paper indeed is the substance of these pages, the symbols shall be not my own, but merely a tracing of the eons-old, fowl truths of the howling abysses of hideous, stygian depths of madness.

--

Awesome item man.  I keep in-character journals so it’ll be well used and loved.  Do me a favor?  Message me, as I’d like to discuss purchasing these.

I won’t even pretend to have tried to wait ‘till the Stars Are Right.  They’re Right enough.

Iä!

I do believe Ithaqua heard my lament, for the very next day a bulky, worse-for-wear parcel arrived at my doorstep from far-flung Bermuda, of Triangle and Shorts fame!

(Address blurred to protect the innocent.)

What mysteries await inside? Tune in next time, faithful reader, for the exciting conclusion of
The Delivery from the North Atlantic!!!

My secret shoggoth astounded me with this generous offering! Seriously, I have been coveting those films from the HPLHS for some time now. Thank you so much, you have made me very happy indeed!

I am looking forward to pouring over the library of historical documents you included. Amazing.

Thank you
