Pricing guide for Trail of Cthulhu supplements?

Recommended Posts

I'm considering selling off my Trail collection - need shelf space, don't reread- but I'm wondering how to gauge a fair price. I've got a few rarities that I haven't seen a lot of eBay listings for which may complicate matters.

Tips?

Best I can offer is that I've seen the core rulebook limited edition pop up for $500, but it was re-listed several times. It either sold recently or was finally de-listed.

What sort of stuff do you have?

Some books might be on abebooks.com too. Amazon has weird pricing algorithms for stuff so not necessarily the best for valuing things. There's also a collector forum somewhere you could target, and this https://twitter.com/rpgdeluxe.

Ooh, that's a great twitter account; I just lost half an hour browsing back through his history for shelf pics :P

:-) Perfectly understandable that you need to make some room!

I've seen the Graham Walmsley booklets go for well over £100 a set. The Bookhounds limited edition with ephemera c. £300 - £500.

Which ephemera do you have, and does it include a piece of the map?

Mine was one of those without a map.

I think we only sent map pieces to people in Europe. Some of the inks we used may have created difficulties with transatlantic customs (or probably shouldn't be allowed over oceans).

There will be more to the mystery in Fearful Symmetries. Our intrepid playtesters are very close to some pieces of the puzzle, but they don't know it.

Say what? When was this announced?

The sort of conclusion that the Ephemera thread arrived at, IIRC, was that Verity Dyse did Darcy in through a suicide-inducing megapolisomancy working activated at Cleopatra's needle, before he could be recruited by the Black Brotherhood of Nyarlathotep (or whatever the London N cult is called), who seemed to be grooming him for membership, as indicated by the coded message. We thought this was part of a wider struggle about who got to construct a magickal seal over London that keeps whatever is buried beneath it, buried. Insufficient number of map pieces/seals prevented drawing further conclusions about the nature of the seal.

This has not been announced. You never heard it*. What were you thinking?

*There will be a section in Fearful Symmetries on London on this. It will offer further information and clues as to the nature and a solution of the mystery

It's not too late. The thread, as linked to by PoC above, is still open.

How about a competition for "best solution of the mystery"?
