As heralded in Yog Radio #44, we've split off and expanded the Yog Radio News section into its own podcast, entitled: News from Pnakotus.

Featuring yours truly and the most excellent Mr. Chris Lackey, News from Pnakotus is intended to be a periodic podcast covering all things Lovecraftian, weird and Cthulhu-related.

It goes out on the main podcast feed (www.yog-sothoth.com/podcast.xml) and the first show is now out, coming in at a more than respectable 52 minutes (its the first show, we had a lot to cover) ;). Future shows should be a more snappy 15-20 minutes... possibly/hopefully?

Theme music is by the ever talented Allicorn from his album Tattered.

That's great. I'm glad it's on the same feed as the regular show. No need to subscribe to a new show on iTunes.

I look forward to the new news show.

This is great news. The more Cthulhu I can get on my iPod, the better.

Ahh it's a fantastic Lovecraft Love in!

Great to have Chris in as a regular and like JonHook states above, very handy to have this broadcast on the same feed, I'd hate to miss an episode.

To be honest, listening to a podcast purely on the Lovecraft media, thinga-migos and news actually made me more open to the idea of trialling the stuff. When I listen to the old podcast format, I'm usually waiting for you to get passed this stuff for an interview. It's a mindset thing, obviously.

Hey, I don't know if it's old news now but a friend showed me "Neonomicon" by ALAN MOORE (cool!!) the other day...have you discussed this or will you be???

We haven't discussed Alan Moore's Necronomicon, but I've heard good things about it. :)

Great stuff, guys. I always felt a bit behind the "Cthulhu scene" because I don't often have time to visit the site (and other Cthulhian sites) but now I can hold my head high, confident in the knowledge the Elder Ones bring to me on a timely basis.

Looking forward to developing some Monophobia too!

Just finished listening to show number 1 and congrats on the spawning of a new show. The tentacles of the Yog Radio empire grow ever longer... and another place to hear Caththu at large again.

I enjoyed listening to Paul and Chris talk of all the Cthulhoid-news that's new and approved for public consumption. Hopefully no more will the news be relegated to olds... Don't worry about the length, its a new show (BTW when will episode 0 appear?) and I'm sure it'll find its own equilibrium in time.

Good to have Chris on a show with Paul again (he was a most excellent guest host on Yog Radio 44 - but we miss the lovely Val...), but will he become a regular presenter of NfP? Or will the other Yog Radio presenters be rotated in to co-present the show with Paul?

As someone who used to work in a chinese restaurant, will I now be required to ask "...and theeeennn?" in all future missives? ;-)

A cracking good start - looking forward to the next edition soon.

...and theeeennn?

Out in all the usual places. We're still settling down with the new audio set-ups and so I'm quieter than usual (if not less verbose). ;) This is simply due to uneven recording levels.

Apologies also for the audio blips about 25 minutes in; it's a weird tech issue I'm trying to resolve. Computers are great when they work and nightmares when they don't!

Show Notes to follow.

After more than half a decade I'm calling time on the current format of Show Notes for Yoggie podcasts (NfP & YR). To save some time, in the future I'll be changing it to a few key links rather than an exhaustive list (well, it's good enough for the BBC ;)).

Great episode guys. I really enjoy seeing this show pop up on my ITunes. But, my wallet is not going to like how empty it is going to be after listening and finding all sorts of Cthulhu goodies that I want to buy. :)

Great idea with this show guys, and the dynamic between hosts is excellent. I very much like the banter and the length is just perfect to cover the myriad of stuff you do!

Chris, what system are you using for your Superheroes vs. Masks of Nyarlathotep game? Superworld? Mutants and Masterminds? ICONS?

Our aim is actually for something between 15-30 minutes. NfP 001 just had a bonanza of material save up from Yog Radio. NfP 002 had a large amount due to all the BBC and media appearances of the Big 'C' over the past few weeks.

It pretty much depends how much news we have and how chatty we are on the day. ;)
