This book provides a conclusion to the campaign that was started in Cthulhu Apocalypse, Part 1: The Dead White World (Supplement) ... but it does not follow the projected campaign outline presented in that first book. Whereas the original plan was that the campaign would stretch to five books (four scenario books and a sourcebook), it eventually only comprised three books (two scenario books and a sourcebook). The original plot line involved travelling to America for a series of scenarios, but the published conclusion features scenarios that are set in the UK.
