From the rules:

The antediluvian city of R'lyeh was constructed of cyclopean stones by extraterrestrial intelligences. Players are the shoggoth minions laying the pyramidal cornerstones of dread Cthulhu's great watery manse, where he and his brethren will wait for the stars to align. May the stones that you have quarried from the depths serve to enclose his tomb at the pinnacle of the crazed city!

Comments / Trivia

This is a fan-made expansion for Looney Labs' Looney Pyramids. Although the expansion is not officially connected to the core game, it requires a copy of the core game to play. Only this expansion, and not Looney Pyramids itself, is Cthulhu Mythos-themed. The designer also suggests using Steve Jackson Games' Cthulhu Dice, although 2d6 or 1d12 may be used instead.

Looney Pyramids: Builders of R'leyh is a print-and-play game, with the game made available on a web page and printed by players, who must also provide any other required accessories (such as dice.)
