Synopsis

The investigator and a partner, Roland Raymondeau, are running across the rooftops in London chasing down an assassin. As the sun sets, they risk losing their target in London's Chinatown. Slowed by Chinese gang members affiliated with the assassin, the two reach a precipice overlooking a railroad with a train fast approaching. The Chinese assassin strikes suddenly, knocking the investigator off the overlook and nearly onto the train. However, Raymondeau saves the investigator's life by grabbing on to them before it is too late. Only then the assassin appears behind Raymondeau and strangles him with a garrote. All the investigator sees before the assailant flees is that his arms had dragon tattoos on them.

Comments

 Spoiler Section (Highlight to Read)

The scenario is meant as an introduction to the campaign Les 5 supplices for one investigator. Rather than a full scenario, it is just a scene that gets the London-based investigator invested in the greater campaign, as they want to find their friend's killer. The person who attacks Raymondeau is Ran Gaar Kha, a lieutenant of the Chinese wizard Sayk Fong Lee.
