Synopsis
During the fighting in France during World War I, soldiers stumbled upon a colony of Insects from Shaggai in the Argonne Forest. While the tenacious creatures survived the battle and eventually recovered from their losses several key pieces of equipment from their nest lay missing, taken by the soldiers as trophies. The colony sent out several swarms of Shan to search out and recover these items.
One such group of Insects was sent to America where it promptly inhabited some human hosts, sending them off in search of the equipment. This group of six Shan-infested humans are the Investigators, hobos who travel the length and bredth of America at the subconscious suggestion of their insect possessors. This fact, and the every more gruesome fact that they themselves are the feared Rail Killer, are entirely unknown to their waking selves.

This scenario is presented more as a sketch than a fully developed adventure. The plot is laid out but many of the details would need to be sketched in by the Keeper.
