Oland was murdered by undead servants of the Great Old One, Glaaki, to prevent his exploration of Loch Ness. The undead were formerly monks from the Benedictine monastery in Fort Augustus.

Glaaki plans to attack the ruined castle of Castle Urquhart on the shore of Loch Ness. The final scene is a battle between the undead and Urquhart clansmen.

Keeper Comments

This needs some work by the Keeper. In "Sequencing the Action", the author says that there are clues linking the killings in Inverness to Fort Augustus. The only clue seems to be the "FAM" clothing label and "nothing ties the acronym to the Fort Augustus Monastery".

It is likely that the players will be misled into thinking that the clansmen are the cultists. They might be unwilling to commit fully to a fight with the true cultists and Glaaki could prevail.
