Tentacle Ratings
A rough measure of how "Lovecraftian" the work is:
- S____ (One Tentacle: Debateably Lovecraftian; has almost no direct connection to Lovecraft's work)
Not exactly a "Lovecraftian" film in the sense of being based on any of Lovecraft's work or containing references to his creations, though some viewers may find the location and atmosphere suggestive of Lovecraft's work (the sort of thing I've been categorizing as an "Eldritch Location" film). Some small argument might be made for a comparison to the Dreamlands.
Note: This rating is not intended as a measure of quality, merely of how closely related to Lovecraftian "Weird" fiction the work is.

When two bus crash survivors awake to discover that they are the only people left in a town haunted by a monster lurking in an encircling wall of dark mist that will engulf everything in three days, they work together to unravel the truth behind the strange events. They discover that they are experiencing a shared dream while on life support at a hospital and that their life support will be cut off in three days, and that the strange events in their dream are related to their memories of a trauma and terrible guilt they shared together as children

Keeper Notes
- I expect that this film would take a great deal of effort to build an RPG scenario from, but the encircling wall of black mist concealing a monster and the only way out in the form of a locked door with a heap of keys in front of it seems like the sort of dream-logic that a Dreamlands scenario might run on; the work would come from building an entertaining and solvable mystery out of it that involves a party of investigators.
