Just a reminder to folks in the UK, this weekend it's the Heritage Open Days https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/

For those that don't know, vast amounts of countryside & buildings, which are normally closed or pay for view are opening their doors for free. Some you have to book on.

Type in your postcode and find out what is open near you.

Previously we've seen WW2 fighter command bunker, old hydro-electric stations, pumping stations, RAF mess halls, Whale Island with the national funereal gun carriage, canal basins etc

Well worth exploring.

NB London is a bit different -  https://openhouselon...en-city.org.uk/ and it's the weekend of 16 & 17 Sept.
