I'll be there, but there will be no time for gaming on my schedule. I'm on three panels -- The Fairy Folk, Clark Ashton Smith, and Lovecraft's Revisions -- and will spend the rest of my time attending other panels, shopping for books and (hopefully) socialising, because I did too little of that last time.

I'll be there as well, on two panels (Campaigns in Call of Cthulhu and CoC's Favorite Scenarios), running a couple of sessions of Feed the Shoggoth!, and possibly participating in the Extra Life charity event. :)

No, scratch that -- I'm on TWO panels: moderating (!! Cue gibbering stage fright here) the Clark Ashton Smith and sitting on the the R. H. Barlow panel.

As I mentioned in post #3, I had a great time at NecronomiCon 2015 and now N2017 is next month.

I shall be trying to live it vicariously through people's Twitter and Periscope feeds. :-) Do post your account usernames here if you plan on Tweeting during the con!

Panel times and panelists now up, though there may or may not be changes for the latter. S.T. Joshi is listed as being on several panels.

I'm surprised that Bobbie Derie isn't on the Erotic Lovecraftiana panel, having written a book on the subject.

Heads up that according to the Necronomicon Providence website:

Single day passes, and tickets to smaller events, film screenings, the Cthulhu Prayer Breakfast, Eldritch Ball, concerts, etc., will be available mid-July.

I'll be there, along with Matt Sanderson and Paul Fricker. We're down for a few panels, including a live crossover between The Good Friends of Jackson Elias and The Miskatonic University Podcast.

Can't wait!

Embarrassingly, I have no idea how ticketing works for panels. Can someone who has attended Necronomicon before help answer this?

what's a 'live crossover' ?

'Sure, as long as the machines are working and you can dial 911, But you take those things away, you throw people in the dark, you scare the shyte out of them, no more rules. You'll see how primitive they can get' .

Thanks Scott. I've never had to get tickets for a panel at Necronomicon, but I have had to for podcast shows.

@Nick Storm - I'm assuming the live crossover in Scott's post refers to The Good Friends of JE doing a crossover show with MU Podcast

Hi Scott,

There are no tickets needed for any panels. You just show up and find a seat for yourself. In all of the panels i've been a part of or attended, there's been little problem getting in (although the gaming-related ones tend to be very popular and well-attended).

That being said, some events, like anything HPLHS-related, tend to draw big crowds, so if you really want to see something, i would recommend getting to it a bit early to guarantee a place in the queue. :)

Hello! HPPodcraft had a ticketing system for one of their shows in previous years to raise money for their trip, if I recall. There is no ticketing system for the MUP-GFoJE show on Saturday. Price of admission: 1.5 hours you will never get back!

We could pass around a collection basket to prevent any singing, though. Just a thought.

I wanna say that I believe the Walking Tours may be put on by the Rhode Island Historical Society - they've done them from their HQ in the past. May be different this year.

I HIGHLY recommend attending Donovan Loucks 'sitting' tour of Providence and Lovecraft Country when and where you see it listed in the programe. A lot less stress on your knees from traversing Jenckes street, if ya know what I mean. heh.
