Hi all,

I have just sent 36 personal messages so you should now have your shoggoth details. If you haven't had a message, please let me know ASAP (though it might make me cry!). There's been some problems with amazon wishlist links so if a link seems broken, please let me know and I'll try and get a corrected one to you.

Remember: You need to send by end of Monday 7th December, and you need to let me know when you send, and when you receive. To make my life easier, please just reply in the personal message thread I have sent you, and don't start a new PM. If there are any problems, let me know.

You also need to post a thank you post (even if you don't like it...) in the "Thank You Secret Shoggoth" thread that will be created. Note that if you don't do this you might not be allowed to sign up next year.

Don't forget to post here with any SS desires, especially if you don't have a wishlist. Otherwise you'll get what you're given! :)

Happy shopping!

Cheers,

Helen

Dear Secret Shoggoth,

I would like pretty much anything. I already own pretty much everything Yoggie sells, but other than that anything weird or wonderful will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dear Secret Shoggie,

I am happy to have anything Lovecraftian, in particular writers in the Mythos, in any convenient format (paper, PDF, etc)  but  excluding the eternally damned Derleth.

The Amazon wishlist items are really to expensive to ship to Australia, so I would give that a miss, unless it is PDF based.

Alternatively  feel free to support my Coffee habit in any form you like.

Dear Secret Shoggie.

I undoubtedly will love and adore whatever Lovecraftian oddity I receive. I have most things Chaosium produces with the exception of the new Dark Ages 2nd ed. I don't have most things their licensees produce. I don't have a lot of stuff from the modern circle writers- Pugmire, Barron, Pulver, etc. That might give you some ideas, but really, anything is appreciated, pdfs or ebooks included.

Dear Secret Shoggoth. I am easy to delight. I will be most pleased with whatever the byakees deliver. Eclectic, random props or finds are okay. Vintage is really fun, or I could use more of the Lovecraft version of the elder sign. I don't have the Iceland supplement, or ToCs Armitage, Bookhounds or Book of Smoke, but think they might be fun. I do have most everything from HPLHS, but if you printed out props from them that would bring me joy for Festival. Again, a plain box or wrapped mystery would make my day just the same if it had a cryptic note, scribble or sketch.
I love this all this stuff, friends! Thanks for hosting it again, Helen.

Dear Secret Shoggoth,

I will be pleasantly surprised by most anything you should send my way. I have no collection of supplements, Lovecraftiana, or props, so any of those are welcome (in print or PDF, but I do enjoy books), but any books or interesting things from your area are welcome as well - I enjoy learning about new places, and reading is a great pastime. Old books are especially neat.

Thank you, and thanks to Helen and YSDC for having such a wonderful welcoming tradition!

I'm up for most anything, though my library of gaming supplements is pretty thorough. I do prefer physical items (props, books, trinkets, dice) but would be delighted with whatever comes my way.

Alas! Such a shame I missed the deadline, ending my four year streak with the grand tradition!

Well, I'll be more punctual next year, and am with you in spirit fellow yoggies!

Same here, it just didn't work out this time.  Next year in Carcosa!

Perhaps all those who missed out on this years Secret Shoggoh could institute a round robin gift swap amongst themselves?

Perhaps it could be called the "Late-ish Lloigor."

Dear Secret Shoggoth.

Bless you and your squamous, protoplasmic heart. I look forward to your slithering across my rooftops, spreading joy and goodwill to the new servitor race. Any item you wish to bestow will be gratefully received!

Best Cthulhumas wishes, and many a thanks to Helen for organising!

Freddie

I'm glad to partake once again in this fine Yithmas tradition :)

Here are some suggestions for my Secret Shoggoth - loose teas (I have a strainer), especially black tea; dark chocolates; anything hand-made or that you created (books, scenario, drawing); ghost story/mysterious events/cryptozoology books about your area; or whatever you think I might like.  I do have an Amazon wish list for some title's I'm considering buy for research for fuuture projects - https://www.amazon.c.../1QVWYNV3MXO9Z/ but feel no obligation to buy from Amazon.

Some folks prefer to send RPG books - I've pretty much got everything Chaosium and other Lovecraftian publishers put out up to 2014 (the last think I bought in print that is in the Secret Shoggoth price range is Canis Mysterium) - but if you just must clean up your shelves and get rid of those musty old copies of Dagon... I'd be shocked, frankly ;)

Crass commercialism Alert - I've just released the newest issue of the Arkham Gazette ($12 PDF, $20 Print on Demand) and since it makes a perfect Secret Shoggoth gift, I am happy to offer an exclusive 20% discount (i.e. $16) on the print version (which comes with the PDF gratis) to anyone buying it as a Secret Shoggoth present.  That should cover the cost of shipping to most places and make sure that the total price stay under the price cap for Secret Shoggoth gifts.  PM me if you are interested.

Hi

I love old things, old photographs. And I own nearly every Cthulhu scenario magazine rpg book, being a kind of unhinged completist

Dear Secret Shoggoth,

No wishlists anywhere, but for reference I enjoy gaming, theatre and a wide range of books - mostly sci-fi or comedy, but an engaging crime novel always welcome. Also love everything Lovecraft and Cthulhu Mythos. Already have CoC 7th Ed Keeper and Investigator books, TotK, Mansions of Madness and Unnamed Horrors books from Call of Cthulhu.

I look forward to hearing the wet splashing of your monstrous body and the labored creaking of old wood as you heave your bloated form across my roof and deliver unto me your dark gift.

Just a reminder that the deadline for posting is the end of tomorrow. There's several people I haven't heard from yet. If you've posted, let me know! If there's a problem, let me know! Thanks!
