Every month or so Fergie at Chaosium sends out an email of what's new and back in stock with Chaosium. You may get this in your mailbox already, but if you don't I (or someone else, if they beat me to it) will also post them here.

For December 2004:

Definitely December

Everywhere you look there are colorful lights, fat men in red velvet, and Christmas music playing over speakers. Our mail box is filling up with cute little Christmas cards. It must definitely be December. :)

This is your Yithmas Shipping Edition of the Chaosium.com newsletter. We’ll break down our holiday shipping schedule and update you on some new products and restocks. You can find us at the usual URL: http://www.Chaosium.com

For those of you who want something different to send out this year, we have a limited number of Cthulhu Christmas cards. ( http://catalog.chaos...products_id=610 )

HOLIDAY SHIPPING:
In order to get your orders before Christmas, use the guide below when choosing your shipping options.

FOR EVERYONE:
Chaosium will ship RUSH ORDERS ONLY during the week of Dec 20-23. There is no shipping at all on 12.24 and 12.25. If you’ve waited that long to buy Christmas presents you’ll just have to shop closer to home and fight throngs of mall zombies. Good luck with that.

OVERSEAS DUDES:
International customers must choose Air Shipping (or UPS WORLDWIDE) to
receive by December 25th. AIR shipping can take one week or more, so place your AIR orders by 12.13.04. Air orders placed after 12.13.04 may or may not arrive before Christmas. Surface orders placed now will not arrive until mid-January. NOTE: Our free shipping orders will not arrive by Christmas!

USA CUSTOMERS:
UPS Ground orders must be in by 12.13.04 to ensure delivery by XMAS. UPS Ground orders placed after 12.13 will ship as soon as we can, but may or may not arrive before XMAS.
UPS NEXT DAY orders must be placed by 12.21.
UPS 2 DAY ORDERS must be placed by 12.20
UPS 3 Day orders must be placed by 12.17

US Postal Service orders are harder to predict. If you choose USPS, you're gambling.

Canada Customers should probably order before December 15th and use UPS. Earlier is better!

FREE SHIPPING, PART TWO
We’ve decided to extend our free shipping offer on cyclopean orders until the end of the year. Enjoy!

NEW STUFF
We have two new things to tempt you. Our new book, THE STARS ARE RIGHT ( http://catalog.chaos...products_id=602 ) is now available. We also have a very cool sterling-silver pendant of Great Cthulhu with ruby flecks for the eyes ( http://catalog.chaos...products_id=611 ). This makes an impressive gift for that special cultist in your life, and the picture on our site doesn't do it justice.

NOTABLE RESTOCKS
We have all issues of the excellent BOOK OF DARK WISDOM ( http://catalog.chaos...lt.php?cPath=43 ) back in stock. We found more BOTTLES OF THE TERRIBLE OLD MAN ( http://catalog.chaos...products_id=568 ). Charlie and Dustin lost some sanity earlier today when we noted that the Terrible Old Man looks a bit like Santa. You can expect both of them to have roaring fires under their chimneys this year. Finally, we found a couple of 20th ANNIVERSARY CALL OF CTHULHU books while exploring one of our storage sheds. We’ve made them available in our Grand Bazaar section ( http://catalog.chaos...lt.php?cPath=54 )

Happy Holidaze!

Charlie, Dustin, Fergie, Lynn
and new intern Dennis (pity the poor fellow).
The Chaosium Dudes.

Fellow Yithians,

TIME GROWS SHORT!
Even for time-travelers, there are only a few shopping days left. If you are going to place an order to be shipped via ground service, we must receive it by Wednesday. After that, we suggest that you choose a quicker shipping method.

SPAM ATTACK
We, and apparently a number of other servers, were subjected to a spam attack last week. Our server was used to send, or re-send, spam. The incident lasted anly one day and affected our email operations only. Valiant efforts on the part of Hackmaster Matt solved the problem in short order. All other Chaosium processes were unaffected, and your credit card numbers were never in danger -- in part because we never have them. When you place an order with Chaosium.com, your credit card number is sent to Authorize.net, our payment gateway. We never have it here in our office, nor is it printed on your order form.

RESTOCK: Bad Dog Designs
We got a restock on many of their designs, plus we have added the Yellow Sign Pendant.
http://catalog.chaos...facturers_id=57

RESTOCK Darkest of the Hillside Thickets
We received a shipment of SPACESHIP ZERO and other CDs from this howlin' group.
http://catalog.chaos...lt.php?cPath=46

NEW PRODUCT M.U. Patch
New this week is an embroidered, iron-on jacket patch from venerable Miskatonic University.
http://catalog.chaos...products_id=614

NEW PRODUCT: Yithmas Stocking
Today we received a shipment of YITHMAS STOCKINGS, in which to place treats human-kind was not meant to savor.
http://catalog.chaos...products_id=615

Hi Friends
Chaosium hopes your holiday season was great, and you had the pleasure to see lots of friends and family.

The Chaosium crew got together for a festive party over the weekend, and we had a blast!! Fergie’s wife made a juicy roast, though the meat was somewhat fishy and quite tough. Lynn brought a case of strong beer, but we didn’t notice until later the small, shrimp-like things swimming about in it. Dustin and Rebecca brought a large loaf of moist bread, which smelled good but had an aftertaste like a tide-pool. Charlie made an apple pie and two knives were dulled trying to cut the fibrous crust. We hope your party was a much fun as ours!!

In other news, Chaosium is happy to announce a few new trinkets for your post-Christmas shopping.

We received more copies of the WORLDS OF CTHULHU #1. You may see more information on this great fanzine by clicking here.
http://catalog.chaos...products_id=556

Chaosium managed to find more copies of some monographs, including MYSTERIES OF MOROCCO and END TIME. One may view all our monographs titles by clicking the link below.
http://catalog.chaos...lt.php?cPath=55

As fans ourselves, Chaosium is pleased to announce more copies of the Gloranthan Classics in stock. Fans who wish to visit GRIFFIN MOUNTIAN or PAVIS AND THE BIG RUBBLE should click here, as should persons wanting to possess the impressive CULT COMPENDIUM.
http://catalog.chaos...lt.php?cPath=47

Stormbringer fans will be happy to learn that Chaosium has more copies of CORUM on hand. To experience heroic adventure across the World of the Five Planes, click here.
http://catalog.chaos...products_id=352

As the new year approaches, take time to learn about past eras in the highly informative ATLAS OF THE YEAR 1000, in stock once again. This detailed book is great for fans of CTHULHU DARK AGES. Click here to see more about this tome of global history.
http://catalog.chaos...products_id=437

Our very own Fergie did an interview for a fan’s website. If you wish to read words from the Shippin’ Shoggoth, click http://www.shoggoth.net, or head straight to Fergie’s interview: http://www.shoggoth....p3?story_id=724

Finally, due to the success of the program and the positive comments we have received, we have decided in keep the old southward-going yak around. We will continue to offer free shipping if your order exceeds $120.00.

Chaosium does wish every body a safe and exciting New Year, and all the best to our friends and fans around the world. Here's to a great 2005!!!

Thanks from the Chaosium guys.

Greetings One and All.

Ithaqua retreats slowly from the earth, and an odd warmness creeps in behind him. As we wake from the long slumber of the colder months our blood warms and we crawl into this warm void. Please read on to discover what new favorites Chaosium has, as well as some classic things back in stock.

We are quite (finally, finally!) pleased to announce a new Call of Cthulhu sourcebook. SECRETS OF JAPAN is here, after many a Library Use, Computer Use, and Write English rolls (and not a few Sanity checks), and Chaosium couldn’t be happier. This sizeable tome details fascinating modern-day Japan and the traces the Mythos left behind. Packed with art and interesting information, SECRETS OF JAPAN offers much material to enhance your Call of Cthulhu experience.
To see more, please click here: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=478

Another new book we find quite compelling is THE BOOK OF DARK WISDOM, and you may find more information about the fifth issue of this great magazine by clicking here. http://catalog.chaos...products_id=639

Chaosium fans are known worldwide for their keen fashion sense, and nothing projects hipness more than cool jewelry. Click here to see the fabulous Cthulhu Pendant, and be the envy of your neighbors and friends. There is no proof this pendant attracts monsters, despite rumours to the contrary.
Click here to see this unique item. http://catalog.chaos...products_id=611

Chaosium is tiring of constant dice ablation. To that end, we bring back our nifty dice bags. One bears the Yellow Sign, while the Elder Sign adorns the other. Should you wish to see either of these Chaosium Dice Bags, simply click the links right here.
ELDER SIGN DICE BAG: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=573
YELLOW SIGN DICE BAG: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=574

Until next time, Chaosium bids our friends and fans around the world goodbye, and have a pleasant (and warm) tomorrow.

Sincerely

Chaosium Inc.

Dear Entities,

Even here, in the far lands of California, we hear the echos of Cthulhu's call from across the sea (it's raining).

Even so, it sure does pay to spend a weekend digging through the forgotten detritus of a previous existence. We have uncovered a small supply of goodly product, not the least of which are copies of our BEYOND THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS supplement for Call of Cthulhu.
BEYOND THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS: http://catalog.chaos...?products_id=77

From the trembling hand of another intrepid investigator, Oscar Rios has produced RIPPLES FROM CARCOSA, a new monograph collecting various details and forbidden information about He Who Shall Not Be Named and his dwelling on distant Carcosa. This is our second new monograph in three to four weeks!
RIPPLES FROM CARCOSA: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=640
CTHULHU RISING: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=637

The clever folks at AlterEgo Software have made some updtes to their character-generation software for CALL OF CTHULHU. METACREATOR 3.6.0 plus CALL OF CTHULHU is in stock and ready to do your bidding.
METACREATOR: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=351

There are a few other treasures forseen to to arrive, but their forms are still indistinct. We shall continue our chanting, and hopefully we can bring them to reality.

Thanks for visiting.

The Guys at Chaosium.

Greeting Fellow Travelers--

The inescabable signs of Spring are showing in sunny Northern California, and the beasties in our backyard have risen from their icy slumber to rejoice in warm, though moist, breeezes from unknown places. Gently swaying tentacles means happy monsters, and that’s great news for Chaosium and our fans. We are delighted to offer a veritable treasure trove of new stuff, just in time for your Spring Summoning Parties!!

On our journeys we made many new friends in the Denver region. We were guests of GenghisCon and were treated very well. Persons itching for Cthulhiana should be overjoyed to witness the CthulhuCon Pendant. Fashioned from an undetermined alloy, this strange idol whispers of secrets not meant for human ears. Show disdain for your safety and the sanity of those around you. Dare to wear it! As part of the convention experience, preregistrants were created to a free Cthulhu Pendant in a promotion sponsored by Chaosium and Reaper Miniatures. At the closing of the show, we acquired the remaining inventory and offer it here.
CTHULHUCON CTHULHU PENDANT: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=641

On the journey to Denver, Charlie had a chance to read STIFF, a book given him by his son's girlfriend. It hos now become an office favorite, and is filled with juicy little details about the lives of human cadavers (that sound just a bit ickey). But this book is like that. Also, when we ordered some copies of STIFF, we also picked up some other books we've had our eyes on-- THE ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE and NECRONOMICON: THE WANDERINGS OF ALHAZRED.
STIFF: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=642
ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=646
NECRONOMICON:THE WANDERINGS . . .: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=645

While at the show we ran into C.J. Henderson, one of our authors, with stories appearing in several of our anthologies. Also there was Z-Man Games, and we picked up a small supply of BABY'S FIRST MYTHOS, now packaged like those Golden Books of old, and a very clever production. Since he was there, C.J. kindly authographed all that we could get. We also picked up an array of C.J.'s other works from other publishers (also authographed). If you like them, we could make them a regular offering; a sampling of them are given below.
BABY's FIRST MYTHOS: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=466
THE THINGS THAT ARE NOT THERE: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=648
THE STENCH OF FRESH AIR: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=647
THE DEAD WALK: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=643

Dice hounds unite and behold Chaosium’s wondrous 30th ANNIVERSARY DICE BAG. Made from shoggoth felt, these neat puouches are just big enough for a Gug eyeball, or maybe a handful or two of dice. Plus, we have a new SECRET ITEM produced by the wondrous John Wick.
NECRONOMONOPOLY: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=649
30th ANNIVERSARY DICE BAG: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=644

Finally, we got some supplies of the new UNSPEAKABLE TALES booster for the CALL OF CTHULHU CCG. Try the game and check it out!
CALL OF CTHULHU CCG: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=650

All in all, this has been a great month for us, beginning with the arrival of SECRETS OF JAPAN and the monograph RIPPLES OF CARCOSA and ending with the beginning of our Convention Season.
SECRETS OF JAPAN: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=478
RIPPLES OF CARCOSA: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=640

We hope to see you at one or more of this summers' shows.

The Chaosium Guys

(P.S. Tomorrow, our shipping shoggoth will be posting a hoarde of new items in the Grand Bazaar of Antiquities: http://catalog.chaos...lt.php?cPath=54)

We now have a little newsletter to distribute.

I started this little project last year. It didn't take.

Now it's a new year, and we've many new books coming out, so I'm giving it another go.

Each month I'll be creating a simple PDF newsletter called the Chaosium Gazette. This propaganda sheet will have some Chaosium news and highlight a classic, current, or upcoming release depending upon how quickly we're releasing books.

It's my hope that some of you will print these newsletters and distribute them at your local game shop, convention, club meeting, gaming night, or luau. There's no telling where they might end up.

It'll cost you a little toner, and some paper, but it could lead to more Chaosium books and happier Chaosium gamers in your community.

The first issue of 2005 can be found here.

Thanks for your support!

Greetings All --

As we bear witness to the transition from the bleakness of winter to the fecundity of spring, Chaosium's recent travels have also borne fruit.

First and foremost, we just received the printrun of the CALL OF CTHULHU SOFTCOVER. This is our complete roleplaying game in a softcover format. It's a bit cheaper for you and a whole lot faster to print. It's nice to have it back in good supply.
CALL OF CTHULHU SOFTCOVER: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=359

Of special interest to Lovrcraft afficionados is a new release from The Library of America, H.P. LOVECRAFT: TALES. This 800+ page volume collects many of Lovecraft's writings and presents them in one hard back volume. It has been very well received, and forms a great foundation for your exploration of this important American author.
LOVECRAFT: TALES: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=654

We have restocked a number of titles useful to Call of Cthulhu keepers, especially that fine tome HOWDUNIT. This guide provides excellent advice on how crimes are committed and solved.
HOWDUNIT: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=497

Fantasy Flight games sent along a couple of items, including FORBIDDEN RELICS, a new booster for the Call of Cthulhu collectible card game. They included some more copues of NOCTURNUM, their campaign for the D20 edition of Call of Cthulhu .
FORBIDDEN RELICS: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=655
NOCTURNUM: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=152
D20 CALL OF CTHULHU: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=100

Well, that ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE did surprisingly well over the past few weeks, and we have a new supply of that great guide as well.
ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=646

Our friends at Bad Dog Designs finally came through, and just yesterday we received fresh supplies of the DISK OF THE HYADES, the PNAKOTIC PENTAGON pendant, and the MAUSOLEUM KEY keyring and pendant. You can check out all the Bad Dog designs on the link below:
BAD DOG DESIGNS: http://catalog.chaos...facturers_id=57

Finally, the guys at Hippocampus Press sent a goodies box filled with a smattering of their titles.
HIPPOCAMPUS PRESS: http://catalog.chaos...facturers_id=23

So, as you can see we have been quite busy indeed, and more treasures lie ahead.

Thanks for visiting,

The Chaosium Guys

Hi Friends.

As spring matures, Chaosium still finds itself shrouded in the cold, damp winds of the haunted San Francisco Bay. We hope you are warmer, (and safer) than we are right now! In this time of rebirth Chaosium offers things to both tease and taint, not of chocolate but rather unwholesome tomes and strange items.

Just today Chaosium was lucky enough to receive more of the excellent DARK CONTINENT from our friends across the world--so fresh that the crate bears damp crystals from the salty swill of some dank ship's hold. Dark Continent is widely acclaimed, and we couldn’t be happier to have them. Click here to read more.
http://catalog.chaos...products_id=336

The 30th ANNIVERSARY DICE BAG is running low, so get your while you can. Click here to see these cute little guys before they are gone forever!!
http://catalog.chaos...products_id=644

New to our shelves is the Cthulhu Dark Ages monograph THE PASTORES. Read more about this illuminating treasure by clicking here.
THE PASTORES: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=658

Chaosium is also happy to see two new Mythos-flavored fiction collections from our small press friends. Click here to see more about these intriguing titles:
DREAMING IN R’LYEH: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=659
INHUMAN MAGAZINE: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=657

As always Chaosium searches the planet for new and unusual relics to offer our friend’s and fans alike. We hope you enjoy these toys as we continue to scour the globe for hidden things in the dark corners of the world.

Regards, The monsters of Chaos.

May Madness @ Chaosium.com

It's a mad month here at Chaosium. Charlie is away in Germany attending the Tentacles Convention. The Colorado office has been overrun by tourists from Yith. Don't ask.

So today's newsletter will be pretty brief. Happy Friday the 13th!

Since our last newsletter, we received a restock of Eldersigns Press books including back issues of Book of Dark Wisdom and the swell Horrors Beyond anthology.
You can find them here: http://catalog.chaos...lt.php?cPath=43
and here: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=660

We also received restocks of the Dreaming in R'lyeh Magazine
http://catalog.chaos...lt.php?cPath=43

and Cthulhu for President DVD's: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=572.

Looking for Chaosium titles in other languages? Check out our Unspeakable Tomes collection:

As always, thank you for supporting the Chaosium.

Greeting Fellow Cephalopods,

With the approach of Summer, Chaosium's convention season is in full bloom. We'd like to give a hearty "Ia" to all our new friends at Foundation, Tentacles, E3, Kublacon, and BookExpo (this coming weekend). The German Tentacles Convention, in particular, is quite an event. Just imagine countless hours of Cthulhu roleplaying in a small castle along the Rhein. A full report can be found at:
TENTACLES REPORT: http://www.chaosium....hp?story_id=159

Among the treasures brought back from our trip abroad is a good resupply of THE WHISPERER magazine, issue #5.
WHISPERER #5: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=544

While in Germany, we visited our German licensee Pegasus Spiele. Among the great book they produce is WORLDS OF CTHULHU magazine, the official CALL OF CTHULHU periodical. Issue 2 is in.
WOC #2: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=676

While we were away at Kublacon a mysterious brown paper box arrived. Lo, it held copies of BOOK OF DARK WISDOM #6!
BODW #6: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=677

Also attending Kublacon was our good friend Don Reents, of Chessex. In the late '70s Don and Charlie worked together at a small Bay Area game store called Gambit. Since then both found their way into the games industry. Chessex is now the standard for dice used in roleplaying, and we now have a restock, including a spankin' new color for use with SPAWN OF AZATHOTH. For the fashionistas out there, these dice are coordinated with the NEMESIS DICE BAG.

When the NEMESIS dice bag arrived, there was also an ELDER SIGN DICE BAG in new colors, green and yellow. If this tickles your fancy, just click:
ELDER SIGN DICE BAG: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=573

Finally, but certainly not least, is a new monograph. THE BIG BOOK OF CULTS, vol. I. presents a number of organizations dedicated to malevolence and the furtherance of the goals of the Mythos on earth. Use these to provide depth and motivation to evildoers in your CALL OF CTHULHU game sessions.
BIG BOOK OF CULTS: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=679

We also were looking at our publishing efforts over the past year plus, and note that with our increases in releases, and with the advent of the monograph from Chaosium, we have released more material for CALL OF CTHULHU in the past 18 months than we had since the collapse of the collectable card market in 1997. The trend is good and the future looks brighter.

Here's to a little insanity,

The Chaosium Guys.

Greetings Fellow Earthlings!

The mercury-filled thermometers affixed to our mildewed walls indicate a growing threat: summer is coming, with waves of airborne heat and stifling humidity looming on the horizon. The cool cats at Chaosium are well-protected from this inexorable airy furnace — shielded in attractive new threads, we laugh and dance playfully in our collection of summertime tee shirts. Revel in comfort and fashion in our forthcoming garb, all at the printer as we speak. This trio of great new designs debuts at the incomparable Origins gaming convention ( http://www.originsgames.com )
June 29 thru July 3 in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Come by the Chaosium booth and have a chat if you dare. The shirts return to our humble digs in California after Origins ends. We are offering you this early-worm chance to order your tee to complete your summer wardrobe. We ship your shirt on July 5th, when we return from Origins with shirts in-hand. Any product ordered with these shirts will also ship at that time.

To view these great new shirts, please click the links below.

Origins or Bust!
As we are about to leave for our Big Origins Adventure, we thought we would introduce the new items we will have ready for the show. Some of these will arrive in our warehouse either as we return or shortly thereafter. We are looking forward to seeing our friends in Columbus at the end of the week, and we’ll scour the show for new treasures for you.

PLEASE NOTE
Our first little tidbit is a swell Miskatonic University NOTEPAD. Printed on a good paper stock, and bearing the university seal and Tillinghast College notation, these 50 sheets are gummed along the top and feature a cardstock backing board. Each pad measures 4x6” and are shipped in packs of three.
M.U. NOTEPAD: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=705

TWO NEW MONOGRAPHS
The first monograph is titled LEGACIES OF THE RENAISSANCE: THE CONCORDANCE STONE, In this scenario, set in Europe in 1928, the investigators travel between England and Crete, receiving a newspaper article along with a small note from their honored friend William Tanislow. William, an English curator, has been recently commissioned to work alongside the famous biologist Dr. Harold Bantry. The photograph accompanying the article is dated late April 1928 and is of William smartly dressed and smiling. He is shaking hands with a portly gentleman who sports a finely shaped moustache. A striking feature of the photograph is a beautifully shaped necklace, the Stone of Concordance, hanging around Williams’s companion’s neck. The gentleman is the friendly British Foreign Minister Wilfred Forbes. After recently pushing the British government hard for William to receive the commission of working alongside Dr Bantry, the photograph of the pair shows his gratification at the outcome. Unknown to him and his only daughter Valerie, at the time of the photograph he is but ten days away from a most gruesome death.

The second monograph is TOYING WITH HUMANS, featuring four scenarios offered during this year’s ORIGINS game convention. Due to the nature of these adventures, and to protect the secrets within, we will ship this book only following the conclusion of the show, on July 5th.

THREE T-SHIRTS
As mentioned last issue (and nearly thwarted by minions of the mythos) we’ll debut three new designs at Origins: M.U. PICKMAN HALL, THE YELLOW SIGN, and CHAOSIUM 30th ANNIVERSARY. The shirts will then be hand-carried back to our humble digs in California.

THE BIG APPLE SPECIAL
We are tickled to now have a certain arrival date for SECRETS OF NEW YORK. We’ll be premiering the book at Origins, and authors William Jones and his wife Deborah will be on-hand to sign and chat.

To celebrate the pending release of SECRETS OF NEW YORK and the ORIGINS show, we are offering the first 25 customers a free SIGNED copy of BOOK OF DARK WISDOM #1, which contains information not included in SECRETS OF NEW YORK and available only through the magazine.

Greetings and Salutations

Chaosium hopes each and every one of our buddies spread around the globe is having a great summer, or whatever season you find yourself in at the moment. If you are standing in snow while you read this message, your must be somewhere a lot colder than the San Francisco Bay Area. We are roasting here on the left coast, as is much of the US. The thermometer reached 126 F. (52.2 C) degrees in Death Valley, California last week, though the northern California beaches remain shrouded with odd smelling fogs and strange clouds that hover in place for hours on end.

Anyway, Chaosium has not stopped our search for cool new stuff for the web site despite the oppressive heat and funky mists. Fans of Pagan Publishing and Delta Green will love to see a big restock of Pagan stuff, like DELTA GREEN COUNTDOWN and the Delta Green novel THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT. Click here to see more.
PAGAN PUBLISHING: http://catalog.chaos...facturers_id=30

Three new books of interest arrived from distant, unseen shores and a restock arrived. From such noted authors as Michel Houellebecq, Stanley C. Sargent and C.J.Henderson, these books touch on the Mythos in unique and exciting ways. Please click the link below to read about THE TALES OF INSPECTOR LEGRASSE, THE LOVECRAFT CHRONICLES, and H.P. LOVECRAFT: AGAINST THE WORLD, AGAINST LIFE. We also received a restock of THE TAINT OF LOVECRAFT from Mythos Books.

CHAOS SUMMER
But now we must address bigger and more serious news. Impending heat storms and threatening tremors have sent the Chaosium staff into hiding, during which time we are unavailable for work. Yes, folks, it’s true. Chaosium is soon on vacation! From Friday, August 19 to Friday, August 26 Chaosium is closed (or, well, effectively so). We are parting ways for a week or so to rest our weary brains and spent bodies. You may place orders on the website as normal, and they begin shipping Monday, August 29 when Fergie returns to work.

Charlie is spending his vacation driving to GenCon this year, so come by the Chaosium booth and ask him about BBQ’s, but please don’t mention the evil Men From Leng.

Speaking of Men from Leng, Dustin with be flitting through the tall peaks of the Rockies in aircraft of questionable air-worthiness in his quest to make it to sacred GenCon.

Lynn won’t tell us where he is heading, though well-hidden clues point to a remote jungle island somewhere in the vast South Pacific. Sounds peaceful to us!

Fergie is headed north to haunted Mt. Shasta on the Bigfoot Trail. If you see me tramping around Mount Lassen or climbing through icy lava caves near Oregon, come on up and join me (we'll make Big Foot footprints)!

To all our friends and fans around the world, Chaosium wishes all a great summer

The Chaosium guys,
Charlie, Lynn, Dustin, and Fergie

The Journey's End

In our last letter, some weeks ago, we mentioned that we were heading off for various adventures. Fergie survived his trip to the sacred flanks of Mt. Shasta, meeting bear, bald eagle, and falling prey to an odd buzzing in that land of mystery. He seems . . . mostly himself. Charlie ended up driving 6000 miles with two young cultists, ending up as far east as Cleveland of all places (collecting a server rack from Webmaster Matt). Dustin wisely flew to GenCon, steadfastly managing booth operations while juggling MIA Keepers, divas, and the media. He was disapointed to find no snow upon his return to Leng.

GenCon was very good, and our efforts to improve our image and profile seem to be working. We had many new items at the show, a few unexpected. Other items did not arrive as scheduled. This delayed the shipment of a few retail orders, and for this we apologise. All items are here now, and the Shipping Shoggoth is spouting new appendages as I write, and will be caught up in a day or so.

The following reviews Chaosium's recent releases, and presents a couple new items from the show.

A LIBRARY OF MONOGRAPHS
We knew that we would have a number of new monographs available for the show, but Able Andy got a couple of others done as well. They are now presented in our catalog for the first time. TERROR is a shorter CALL OF CTHULHU adventure set in Moscow during 1932. The CTHULHU MASTERS TOURNAMENT 2005 contains three scenarios presented during this year's GenCon. We also offer links to the other monographs that debuted at the show.

TALES OF DEATH & DARKNESS: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=723
THE LAST TRIAL: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=721

A SLUG OF CHAOSIUM SIDELINE ITEMS

CTHULHU COFFEE MUG: The mugs turned out great! Dustin gave one to each of our helpers at GenCon, and most of the remainder made it back to California intact.
CTHULHU COFFEE MUG: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=726

NEW TEE SHIRTS: We always print our shirts on heavy duty 100% cotton.

R'LYEH SURF SHOP TEEshirt stems from an idea we had at last year's GenCon -- when at a show we always get the best ideas. We brought it up with Fergie, the shipping shoggoth, and he assigned one arm to this task. This link takes you to the Large version, but you can find various sizes in the CLOTHING section.
R'LYEH SURF SHOP: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=727

The M.U. 1690 SEAL TEE has long been requested by a number of fans. This is a heavy cotton light gey shirt with black printing across the front.
M.U. 1690 SEAL: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=733

MEMENTO MORI TEE: We would like to provide special thanks to the M. U. Skulls, a dedicated cadré of CALL OF CTHULHU gamemasters who run many of our events at GenCon. They had a special MEMENTO MORI shirt made for this show; we purchased the remaining stock and offer it here. This is a limited-quantity item.
MEMENTO MORI TEE (XL ONLY):
ALL TEES: http://catalog.chaos...lt.php?cPath=33

STICKERS: Hail Miskatonic U.! Our BUMPER STICKER measures 15" across and almost 3" top to bottom. The WINDOW DECAL measures 18" across and will update any decor.
BUMPER STICKER: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=725
WINDOW DECAL: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=724

BOOTH 420 TEE: For the past few shows we have created a staff tee-shirt. We don't produce very many; mainly for our staff and helpers. Now you can own a small piece of convention history!
BOOTH 420 SHIRT: http://www.chaosium....t.x=0&Input.y=0

A NUMBER OF RESTOCKS
We always look for new items, or good deals on restocking items we like to carry.
BABY'S FIRST MYTHOS: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=466
UNSPEAKABLE VAULT (OF DOOM): http://catalog.chaos...products_id=554
DICE BAGS: http://www.chaosium....t.x=0&Input.y=0

FROM N'KAI
We thought that THE TSATHOGGUA CYCLE would be at the show, but it was delayed at the printer. Tomorrow we had a small supply sent via Tindalos Couriers using their Prior Day Air service to arrive yesterday. The rest was here by tomorrow.
THE TSATHOGGUA CYCLE: http://catalog.chaos...products_id=739

We're now looking forward to staying home for a while, to finish off some great books coming out in the next few months.

The Chaosium guys,
Charlie, Lynn, Dustin, and Fergie
