Anyone recently get problems using firefox on these forums? I'm getting the main frame being crammed into the scrolling window on the left side. I had to use Explorer (bleh!) to get this to render properly :(

I changed the forum scroller to a new one, which may have caused the problem, and have now put it back to the old one. Has this fixed it for you?

Mozilla and Netscape (which is pretty much the same thing anyway I guess) are now fine.

Firefox is happy again. Of course, the way Firefox interpreted the site last night was suitably mind-bending.

I had the same problem, but PoC's fix has done the trick.

Thanks, Paul!

nice to know it wasn't just my PC.

I was tempted to take up the challenge of trying to read & post with it scrolling on the left there, but decided my san would not be able to take the strain. :)

Out of curiosity, does the site stats tell you what browser people are using? Curious as to the ratio between IE & Firefox

So there are basically three browsers I am aware of: IE, Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox, and Opera. Are there others I missed?

Do you mean `Are there other browsers?' or `Are there other browsers used by people on this forum'?

I mean, I think there are a lot of other browsers. I couldn't say how widely used they are though. For the record, I usually view YSDC with Lynx (go team Unix!), but sometimes (on a different machine) I use Safari.

Yes, I meant other browsers used by people on this forum. I had no idea. Very interesting. I must Google these--though I do not use Unix...just for information's sake.

In my last job I ran some stats software to try to determine which browsers were viewing the site. We got to around 160 different browser types / versions. (i.e. IE 2 is one 'version', as is version 3 and 4 etc.) I can't recall the exact figures, but Microsoft's IE had roughty 95% of the share.

The statistics page on the site shows the percentage of what browsers are visiting the site as well as OS.

I want to know who is using Irix to visit the site? :)

Thanks for that Paul.

It appears to prove something I was starting to suspect - that is more & more prople are seeing the light and starting to use 'Netscape' browsers again.:D (I assume Moziila/Firefox etc is classified as netscape).
