Folks-

Okay...sorry...probably should have updated you all earlier.

We had hoped to have preorders going by now. Honestly, we'd hoped to be at the printer's by now, but we've hit a few snags. We really wanted to have the book in hand for the early 2010 Con season, but that's looking really doubtful at this point unfortunately. Our artist has disappeared on us, and we have to start from scratch and get new art for everything but the cover. I'm not sure exactly how far this will push us back...but we're continuing to slog forward.

The writing is done. The editing is done. The proofreading is underway. Conversions to ToC are underway. I'm in discussions with The Most Excellent Gentlemen at the HP Lovecraft Historical Society about our handouts. Wonderful maps are underway (hooray for Steff!). And yes...we are in layout (hooray for Badger!).

Once we have art the project really starts to coalesce, I will launch preorders and let you, our patient friends know.

Sorry to hear about the delays. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks for the update. Better a polished, perfect product with some delays than a rushed one with less than perfect art.

Will you make pre-order announcements here?

NTMV made me a MRP believer, so I can't wait. In fact, I ordered an old copy of the Adventures in Arkham Country in anticipation of the MRP release. Arse backwards, I know.

Playing/Running: D&D 5e (Curse of Strahd, Reavers of the Harken Wold), Call of Cthulhu (Down Darker Trails), Aces & Eights, Fate (Art Restoration Syndicate)

When i first scanned the above line I thought it said:

Once we have art the project really starts to coalesce, I will launch preorders and let you, our patients know.

Hm. Which one is the real statement? ;)

Probably patients, I suspect...

I missed that in toms original post, - MRP and Steff (who incidentally was an absolutely terrific chap in kindly sending me some material recently) together on a project ...?

Now I'm even more excited.

Any chance of some sort of sneak peak for us yoggies ?

Glad to hear that, Tigger. We're hoping it comes together nicely.

Hopefully, we'll have something to share soon. Keep an eye-stalk on this thread. :-)

What an odd coincidence - I was just thinking about this sourcebook over the weekend, and I find the thread has been upadted. Really looking forward to seeing this - hoefully soon. Short of Pulp Cthulhu, which is iffy for 2010 at best, this is the book I am most looking forward to this year.

Hey Stag, i hope this doesn't burst your bubble, but More Adventures is going to be a collection of scenarios, not a sourcebook.

Poor choice of words onm my part Badger. *chuckle*

I like scenario books much more than "sourcebooks" anyway - and I can't wait to get my eager ahdns on this.

Especially since the original AiAC was the only "late eighties/early nineties" (Golden Age?) Chaosium books I never owned or played in.

Then this one should suit you just fine.

<Looks skyward.>
<Shrugs.>
Why? Hunh? I mean *really*.

Further update on More Adventures: Artist Number 2 has quit. This one didn't disappear, he just got better offers from others who followed, so bailed on little old MRP. This was two days ago.

Happily, I believe I have found Artist Number 3. I am drawing up a contract now, so I have something to fall back on (something I hadn't done for the other guys).

This has, of course, pushed us back again, but this is one RPG company that isn't staying down, no matter how many times we're kicked in the crotch.

Sigh...okay...back to work.

You hang in there, Tom. We're rootin' for ya. I know that you'll get it out the door. You've worked miracles so many times before, and this time won't be any different.

T.V. is lying to us. Kicked in the crotch so not funny.

In any case, we appreciate your updates and share in the Collective Grunt expressed at the aforementioned kicking in the crotch. My only advice is to walk it off and wear a cup.

Oh, I've soooo been there done that with contractors.
Look on the bright side, at least you wont make that mistake again.

To quote Ms A. Morrisette:
You live - you learn... you lose - you learn :-)

Panic yet not - we'll still be buying the book when it comes out..."all" you've got to worry about is the cash flow at MRP, making sure your schedule fits together and that everything is delivered to plan. (pauses for Tom to take a 1d100 san roll)

Of course, if you need an experienced project manager to handle all of that I *am* available and looking for a job....for a suitable wage :-P

More seriously, hang in there. "Neither gloom of night, nor intercession of elder gods...."
