Congrats to all involved. Partricularly pleased to see Brian M Sammons, John Goodrich and Cody Goodfellow represented, all very fine Cthulhu Mythos authors.

Do you mean my story from the ARKHAM TALES book? If so then thanks so much. If not then oops, my bad for assuming. :)

Howdy, folks.

So I figure you all will want to know what the book will look like, right? Y'know the cover? Well, okay...since you pried it outta me...

Cheer up, John. There'll always be Paris. (I don't know what that means, but it's probably true. For somebody, anyway.)

The DBD2 manuscript will most likely be handed over to the publisher this week. 22 stories, one introduction, 110,000 words. That means it's about 25% bigger than DBD1 word-count-wise, and half-again as big story-count-wise. And with more familiar Lovecraft-o-fiction names. This oughta be a good book, Ithinks.

(On a more personal level, DBD2 marks the sixth book-length project I've completed in the past three years -- seventh if you count the DBD1 reprint, which I did have to do quite a bit of footwork on. No wonder I need a friggin' rest...)

That's exciting news. Dead But Dreaming was a great anthology, with amazing Final Draft being one of the best Lovecraftian stories ever. I hope the new one will have a story of such caliber too.

Well, all I can say is, Scott Aniolowski told me today he thinks the end-piece of DBD2 is the best story in either volume. I've been re-re-re-reading the stories as I format 'em, and there are some really good pieces in here, for sure. And a LOT of different styles and types of stories. DBD1 had kind of a cosmic focus to it, but this one's much more open in that regard.

Now if I can just get the last guy to send me his biographical sketch, it'll be done and in Tom's sweaty hands.

See, if you had some cake you could control that!

I think this is going to be a hell of a book. As Kevin mentioned, I think that the last story in DBD2 might be the strongest of both DBD and DBD2. Good, good stuff.

But I'd *had* cake! Clearly I hadn't had enough, though. Hmmm...perhaps I should go have some now. CAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

Right...back on topic. I can't wait for it. This book will be very fun to produce.
