Does the addition of this 'campaign trail' mean that the campaign is going to be more linear now.
    A possible route. Nothing more.

Your global map is totally different and shows that Chaosium are finally looking to take their already fine products onto the next level.
My contact with Chaosium has been over my own monograph 'Cthulhu Adventus' and not with this project. My MoNC dealings have been with Bret Kramer. A fine upstanding fellow and all round good egg. Any talk of how Chaosium are regarding this are best directed to him, Charlie, or Dustin.

God, who else just can't wait for this to come out?

Any idea on a probable release date, or at least which quarter of the year it may be released in...?

hat is a truly gorgeous map. I really like the layout and showing hemispheres rather than the more traditional whole-world-peeled-like-an-orange layout. It gives it a unique feel and style. I also think you've done a great job capturing the feel and look of the era's cinematic maps.
Thanks Jabonko! In case you're interested my maps are now gracing the pages of Miskatonic River Press' next CoC book or two.

That is beautiful artwork guys. That really does make us more excited to get our hands on this.
Too bad we can't have that map blown up to wall-scale.

Im sure there are ways around this. I dont think Bret and the guys can do this themselves though.. as its a monograph. If enough people ask Chaosium for one it might. Plus I dont mind hosting a large scale version on my blogspot if the guys in charge ok it (but then you'd need to find an A1 printer)

I wouldn't mind going to a professional printer to get a large copy if the source was big enough.
The main problem I'd have using it in a game is that it would be giving my players all the location info too early.

I'm thinking of getting a global wall map that I can put magnets on when they find a relevant location.

I'm guessing that the release date for this will be Summer 2010 (June - August)?

Anyone wish to correct me or advance their own idea?

I am hesitant to give a date until I the layout is complete and Chaosium actually gives us a date.

Speaking generally, the layout is moving forward and, from what I have heard from Chaosium, they are interested in printing this as soon as they have it available; that's not guarantee, of course.

Please trust that as soon as I have a date, even a general "November, 2525", I will let you all know here.

I strongly doubt Chaosium would do a print run of a map from a monograph, lovely as it is.

    Hi all,

    http://steffworthington.blogspot.com

Here's a new, larger, and more importantly, player friendly version of the map (trail route and mythos locations not included). Its a decent resolution and any decent printer shouldnt have a problem blowing it up to A2 at least.

Also added is the map for Hong Kong (NSFPC's).
(clicking on them will bring up the full image)

The rest can wait until the book is released. I hope you can use these to prep your games.

Feel free to peruse the rest of the art on there too

    Steff

Look for a print shop that handles architectural and construction plans. The one I worked at could print up to a couple of meters on a side, more typical plans being up to a square meter.
