    Non-Euclidean Restaurants

This weekend I had brunch at a wonderfully eclectic restaurant here in Minnesota: The Loring Pasta Bar. The photos on their website just don't do it justice .

The architecture is splendid, and the decor is marvelous. Non-euclidean walls form the twisting Seussian hallway leading to a bathroom more bizarre. I didn't have a chance to sneak into the ladies room, but my girlfriend assured me it was very impressive.

The food was wonderful and the tall windows let in the light, beautifully illuminating the strange knick-knacks all over the restaurant.

So, if you're ever in Minneapolis, MN, be sure to stop by the Loring Pasta Bar, and then use the images that present themselves as inspiration for the next speakeasy you write into your CoC plot-lines.

An imponderably cool photo. How was the food? A question about the restroom/loo: Is the urinal a basalt edifice that mysteriously flushes itself?

The urinal was a bit awkward. It had the same relative shape as a standard toilet, very ovoid and long. It stuck out from the strangely curved wall which would mean that if both urinals were occupied, the users would be shoulder-to-shoulder, but turned out slightly so as to face away from each other at a slight angle.

The food was great. We had the buffet brunch. haven't been back for dinner yet.
