I've recently been made aware of this new RPG, which has just had a successful Kickstarter to raise money for a print run. The game is called Pitfalls and Penguins and it's designed to be a comical D&D-style game. The creator is a youtuber called JoeHillsTSD who has a great sense of humour and a quick wit, so I expect it to be pretty good at producing laughs.
The game's website is here.
Joe will be running a game of Pitfalls and Penguins live on the internet for people who want to tune in and listen/watch. I've been told this will be on Sunday at 3pm EST, which should be 8pm GMT. I know a lot of us enjoy listening to audio games, so I thought there might be some interest.
The event was originally to help raise money for the Kickstarter, but now that they've met their target they're going to do it just for fun. The other people involved are also youtubers, including GuudeBoulderfist, PauseUnpause, MoARRgan, and Aureylian.
Guude and Pause are both pretty popular youtubers with more than 100,000 subscribers each. Guude in particular has an excellent sense of humour and is known for his amazing laugh. I fully expect hilarity to ensue.
Pause will be streaming the game at his TwitchTV channel here. Joe will also be streaming the game, but hasn't arranged a channel yet. I'm not quite sure how thing will go, but if Joe plans to be on camera then I think his stream will probably be better. He'll announce the channel on his twitter account, but Pause's channel will be available for people who don't want to wait for that.
If anyone has nothing to do on Sunday from 8pm GMT then it might be something fun to tune in for. I know these guys and how funny they can be, so I'm making sure I have the time to be there. There's a good chance it'll be NSFW, but maybe through some miracle they'll moderate their language and tone down the innuendo.
As an example of what to expect, Guude has said his character is a rabbit mage with the ability to create paper aeroplanes and cocktail umbrellas. He's also pretty good at mixing drinks, so I'm sure he'll be a fine asset to the party.
