Advice/Experience Running "The Dig"

Our current GM is out next week, so I've been asked to fill in for him. I'm planning to run some connected Mythos scenarios in the Fall, so I thought I'd give my group a taste of what's to come with "The Dig" in Terrors from Beyond. I picked it mainly because I'm fond of the concept and it's removed enough from what's coming in the Fall that the players won't feel like it's "more of the same" when it gets to be campaign-time.

I'm going to have 3-4 players, possibly one totally new to role-playing. The characters will be pre-gens.
I'm also looking at about a 5-hour evening of gaming.

Has anyone around here run it before? Am I right that it's the sort of scenario that can be completed in an evening's play? Are there any hang-ups or confusing points that turn up in game play? Places where the players need an extra clue or a swift kick in the pants? Does the story seem as clear cut to players playing the scenario as it does to the would-be Keeper reading it through before play? I know that's a lot of questions, but any advice would be most beneficial at this stage. I've got a week to plan so there's time to write in any changed that might benefit from the insight of those who have taken their picks and spades to Dunlow, Mass. before my group.

Sorry, I just found this. I don’t come to YSDC nearly often enough anymore. Anyway, PM sent to you and I hope that it reaches you in time.

And thanks for pointing him in my direction, NeferSutekh.
