Exclamation Continuum 2012 is filling up!

Hi everyone, just a reminder that Continuum 2012 is booking up fast. The rate of bookings has outstripped last time and they are 2/3rds of the way through their expected delegate spaces. It's EASILY the best gaming convention in the UK (imho). RPG's, Boad Games, And Live action fun! We take over a uni campus for a weekend and turn it into a Geek Village! If you want to go then book now to avoid missing out.

Get your tickets and more info here! http://www.continuum.uk.net/new/

There are all sorts of games but it's predominantly Cthulhu, BRP, RuneQuest, and d100 systems but anything is welcome. If you plan to run a game or two then sign up and send your synopsis so the team (and your players) can plan the days...

oh, and Sandy Petersen (Cthulhudaddy) will be there.

I am only allowed two conventions this year, she who must not be named has said so

Going to the SFX Weekender in Wales, and I am going to Furnace again!
The static in my mind, leaves me hollow and unkind.

I too have already signed up for the full event. Last time I ran 1 x Cthulhu Rising, 2 x Realms of Cthulhu and 2 x Savage Worlds [Captain Scarlet].

This time I intend to run my new Captain Scarlet scenario, another Pulpy Realms game, plus some other gubbins yet to be decided

EDIT: As I have been asked, here are some more details on the three scenarios I am definitely going to run
    cheers
    Paul

ZEPPELINS & ZIGGURATS[ Realms of Cthulhu]

It’s ‘Chocks Away’, as Miskatonic’s finest microscope-wielding, gun-toting, intellectual fraternity, take to the skies on a mission to save the World itself ! Their adversaries are blasphemous sorcery-wielding, zeppelin-riding Nazi’s of the Third Reich !

    Starring:
Clark Gable as Prof. Charles ‘Chip’ Cassidy
Greta Garbo as Prof. Jacqueline ‘Flash’ Garmin
Spencer Tracy as Dr. Brian ‘Beezer’ Williams
Humphrey Bogart as Joe ‘Aces’ Rossi
Vivien Leigh as Dr. Theresa ‘Toots’ Montague
Errol Flynn as James ‘Buzz’ Moore

Tags : Nasty Nazi’s + Knuckle sandwiches + Hot lead = Death defying, tomb raiding, world saving shenanigans, Hollywood style

Captain Scarlet : Appetite for Destuction [ Savage Worlds ]

When the Mysterons threaten to destroy London with a nuclear warhead from the sky, Spectrum begin to investigate the claims, only to discover a warhead has gone missing from the Greenwich Arms Base, along with a Top Secret weapon, known as the 'Thought Eater'. In a race against time, Spectrum must uncover the dastardly plot, and foil Captain Black and the Mysterons once more.

    Spectrum Personnel:

    Colonel White
    Destiny Angel
    Captain Scarlet
    Captain Blue
    Captain Ochre
    Lieutenant Green

28 Decisions Later [ Call Of Cthulhu ]

Two years and four months after the outbreak of the Rage Virus that infected the majority of Great Britain, many cities and towns were declared safe ( set up as armoured satellite refuges ), and a repopulation of the country began.

This evening though, the Infected have somehow infiltrated the town of Middleriver, and the Major Incident Plan is activated. An organised evacuation of the city is descending into chaos and unrest, and the containment of the Infected starts to crumble.

You are in charge of what happens next, do you seize this opportunity to pursue your personal ambitions, or aim for the greater good ?

    Gold Command consists of :

    Chief Constable Sylvia Bennett
    Brigadier Arthur Lloyd-Hynes
    Chief Medical Officer Patricia Fullerton
    Chief Fire Officer Clarence Gerard
    Council Chief Executive Jonathan Heron
Elected M.P. for Middleriver, Patrick Kale

Main Themes : Investigation & Diplomacy

    Steampunk Cthulhu !

I have now decided upon another scenario, something I have had in the works for quite a while now, a Steampunk Cthulhu scenario, using the Realms Of Cthulhu system. Using Chet Phillips' steampunk derivations of some rather famous Marvel/DC Heroes, I have concocted a ripping tale of pulpy daring-do! So, I will be running this on the Sunday morning:

As much as I would like to attend, it is just too expensive to visit for a day.

Free from my organising committee duties (having 'retired') I shall be there with a bag of Cthulhu and the usual drinks.

Other than my commitments to D101 I will be running The Milan Conference with Wim. This was supposed to happen back in 2010 but due to circumstances beyond my control we had to pull it.

    The blurb is as follows:

"It's that time once more. The hotel room is booked, the plane tickets purchased and the taxi is waiting to take you to the airport. Ahead of you, at the 18th Mummification Congress, lies 4 days rubbing shoulders with the movers and shakers of modern Egyptology, plus as an added bonus the Shabti figures of Nephren-Ka will be on display. So grab your passport and let's go..."

    Setting: CoC Modern
    Players: 4-6

    Rik-KM

PS: there is mo truth to the rumour I put that rollerskate at the top of the stairs.
A brass unicorn has been catapulted across a London street and impaled an eminent surgeon. Words fail me, gentlemen.

Can I just recommend Rik and Wim's game of Milan Conference. If you've never experienced a double header Keeper scenario, do yourself a favour and try and get into this game.
