I thought, because of all of my ill-health bollocks and other aspects of life, that I would never again attend a Lovecraftian film festival or convention. I don't miss going to general cons, but there is something thrilling about Lovecraftian events, being surrounded by hundreds of others who understand! So, because my sister is visiting from Montana to look after our mother, I can get away next week-end )May11-13) and attend the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, Oregon. The line-up of guests is impressive, and this is the only time I actually get to meet the people who buy my books. I'm not scheduled to be on any panels, this happening all of a sudden last night when my friend, who is involved with ye festival, took me out for dinner; but I will be doing a reading from my new book, UNCOMMON PLACES. I hope to meet some of y'all there.
