Hey everyone,

I'm a big fan of Lovecraft, the Mythos and Call of Cthulhu, and although I own several CoC books, i've never had the opportunity to actually play. My group of friends have been playing together since I was 10 (22 years ago) but in all that time we have played little else than AD&D 1st and 2nd Edition. Some of the older guys have played the earlier versions of CoC and loved it. Unfortunately, the core of our group is dead set on AD&D and will no longer even try different games, if we change games people simply stop coming.

I would just LOVE to play CoC, whatever version, time period, campaign...whatever, but aside from my friends, I don't know anybody who plays RPGS, and know of no clubs that do either. I once got to run 'the haunting' and a few other scenarios for a small group of my friends, but that is the sum total of my experience with CoC. I'd love to actually play myself sometime, or even just play something that isn't AD&D (I've GM's every non-AD&D game my group have played).

If you are looking for a player, or even know of anyone who is, please let me know I'm restricted to public transport, but should be able to travel throughout South Yorkshire and the nearby area.
