Thomas has now kindly shared with me a prototype of the real Cristoforo font (which is vastly superior, particularly when it come to recreating the look of book titles from the early days of Call of Cthulhu). I am thus able to present my little homage using the fruits of his many hours of glyph-crafting ... (if that's a word?)

I think the new font looks rather spiffy! There's also a larger version available on this (updated) blog page.

Hello,
Was perusing Kickstarter last week and found this, It's Crisoforo, an effort to bring the original American-Victorian font seen on the Call of Cthulhu classic game covers to the digital age. The font looks amazing and it would be cool to bring this bit of Call of Cthulhu history up to speed for people to use and enjoy.

It just looks so retro and awesome!!!

You can check out the Kickstarter, though as of this post Its got 4 days to go and he still has less than half the funds he needs to get this ball rolling, sad times. I just feel that this should be shared with fans of the games and hopefully by some stroke of luck (or help from a certain Dark Pharaoh) this gets funded.

Also as a side note: I've noticed this a lot, why are there so many fans of Lovecraft that congregate in Portland, Oregon?

Not sure how I missed posting it in this thread... actually came up in another one here on Olde Yoggie.

Note that I have added some less expensive pledge options for fonts for personal use only at $12 and $24. I wanted to enable fans to be able to do stuff without spending quite so much.
