It is important to notice that it was written by Adam Gauntlett, I buy anything he writes because he is just fantastic.

Adam submitted the second scenario for the contest
I'm planning to run the scenerio on the hundredth (plus one month) anniversary (of the Titanic hitting the iceberg).
In preparing for it I've been looking at some sources for information about what the Titanic looked like (before it sunk). There are many of them, but the one that I have focused my attention on is the two-volume Titanic: The Ship Magnificent by Bruce Beveridge, Scott Andrews, Steve Hall, Daniel Klistorner, and edited by Art Braunschweiger. The second volume, Interior Design and Fitting Out, is especially informative for the layout of the ship and pictures of many of the areas of the ship that the scenerio takes place in -- including the Cafe Parisien).
Hopefully your local library has a copy (like mine does).

Ephemera: where I talk about books and games.
Oh there have been some interesting submissionskeep them coming. I'm trying to get more prize money.
This adventure is now available on RPGNow. They have kindly agreed to donate their profits for RMS Titanic: The Millionaire's Special to Heroes in the Dark.
Incidentally for those wanting to run Millionaire's Special and wondering where they can get extra material for flavour text, Project Gutenberg has some out-of-copyright books that may be helpful. The Beesley book was very useful to me; it's written by a Titanic survivor, and includes a description of the sinking from the perspective of someone in the boats and someone on deck. It also has a fair bit of extra information about what life was like on board, before the sinking.
When I went to Gutenberg I was actually looking for Colonel Gracie's book, but it isn't there. It is on the iTunes store in various formats, some much more expensive than others. However there is a 0.99c copy, which is probably cheap enough to be worth a punt. There's also something calling itself Titanic at 100, which seems to be a compilation of pretty much every contemporary account (including news reports) and some extra material besides. It's slightly more expensive at $3.99, and I haven't read it myself so I can't comment on the material. However if it really does include everything it claims to, it could be a valuable asset to a Keeper.
