    Hosting Content

    Thanks !
I just want to post wisely, and not merely comment on random topics just to boost my message count.

By the way, and sorry if I'm off topic here (i dont want to open a new topic if there's no need to) I have a question about handouts.

I've been running tatters for a few scenarios now, and since the handouts in the book didn't appeal to me enough (i'm kind of a geek about the handouts, they need to be perfect since they're a great way, if done right, to give a feel of a mood during a campaign, and even allow careful players to find clues within them, kind of like the easter eggs), So I've been working on my own set of handouts for this campaign, with proper fonts, graphics and presentation, all according to the era, type of scenario, and general context.

Is there a place where I could upload them, so any Keeper can take/pickandchoose them for their own convenience ? Or should I just open a new topic in the "classic/gaslight era" subforum ?

I just don't want to give away any spoilers to people who wouldinadvertantly stumble into a topic which gives them all the different clues at once ...

I've noticed a download section here (and have been downloading stuff from here myself) but I doubt it would be the appropriate place to put them.

    Cheers !

Hello, and welcome to the site!

I've split this into a separate META thread, dealing with hosting content.

Many posters use third party upload sites for hosting (which also goes them greater control in where they put them), services like Dropbox being very popular.

Also, Yoggie Patrons have the facility to upload/attach files to their posts as well.

    Hop that helps!

    thanks a lot !
And sorry for any inconvenience (posting in wrong places, asking questions, that may very well be already answered elsewhere)

I guess I'll start my own thread then (already have an imageshack account, although it's bound to show its limits at some point).

Thanks for these prompt answers, I've rarely seen a forum be so quick at helping out newcomers !

    Cheers!

Apparently not, maybe the setting only works after the fifth post, or it gets activater after a little while ...

Anyhow, I'm all right with this restraint, as long as it doesn't lasts aeons ^^

I'll check back once I've started posting enough to claim some profile editing rights ...

It should work for you now. (Normally the update can take an hour as auto group promotions are run as a scheduled task.)

Back to the topic of content hosting, Dropbox can be very useful for sharing a range of file types besides images.
