    Reworking adventures into Ancient Rome

Anyone have particular success with using other Cthulhu adventures for Invictus? Any that adapted particularly well?

There is no reason why it couldn't be done. I have always just looked at combinations of original source histories like Livy, Suetonius and Cassius Dio, along with novelists like Lindsay Davis, Steven Saylor and Simon Scarrow to furnish the requisite bits. If you read the histories with an eye towards the supernatural rather than rational explanations, the stuff very nearly writes itself.

I converted Escape from Innsmouth into an Invictus adventure. Then converted the Raid using the 9th legion instead of marines. Worked extremely well.

Nice! I would be tempted to do something similar.

At the moment I'm running them through 'At Your Door'. Biotech becomes alchemy and I've thrown in a corrupt Gnostic sect working with the Daughters of Isolation to grow a second Garden of Eden.

I've also thought of using 'The Spawn of Azathoth' or 'The New Age'. I'm also thinking of using 'The Dagger of Thoth', changing it to 'The Dagger of Dionysus' and having them travel to Delphi.

Thoth is a perfectly fine Egyptian god, and the grain fleet sails regularly to Alexandria--the city of Rome depends upon that Egyptian grain arriving on a regular and predictable basis, and so it would be a natural target for all sorts of bad sorts, some of whom might even be Mythos related....
