Call of Cthulhu on the big screen

Over the weekend I had the dubious pleasure of seeing the silent "Call of Cthulhu" short film at Case Western Reserve University Film Society's Sci-Fi Movie Marathon. The movie was great, probably the best HPL film version I've seen, but my enjoyment of it was ruined by audience members who shouted out inanities nonstop, as if they were at a screening of Rocky Horror.

I was going to suggest it for any Cleveland-area YSDC-ers, but I'm glad I didn't. The audience ruined it.

What a shame. Perhaps to make up for it, you could gather some of your fellow HPL aficionados, buy a copy of the movie from the HPLHS, and have a screening at your house.

Sorry to hear that, splumer, especially as the movie is wonderfully atmospheric. Shame the atmosphere was broken by an unappreciative audience.
