Alzis is missing.

He's been missing for 2 years ever since another prominent member of his little club vanished under dubious circumstances.


A Mr. Emir Agdesh sat down to dinner one cold January evening at a restaurant on Central Park West and disappeared. the site was the scene of a bloody massacre, although Mr. Agdesh's body was never found - only a cryptic word written in his own blood ---- "Zarnak."

Agdesh is gone. And now so is Alzis.

In this era when certain unnerving nightmares have pierced the veil of dreams, when the servants of forgotten gods come slouching toward New Gomorrah in different guises, when old hatred and seething rivalries burst forth from their cocoons...

...the Fate is without its Leader. the Lunatics now reign over the Asylum.

Cell X


The original Cell X based out of New Orleans disappeared in November of 2003. Of the information that was gathered by investigating members of DG, it was ascertained that Cell X pursued a target from the Crescent City to Haiti. What prompted such a break in protocol to the rank and file is unknown, although Donald Poe considered the matter to be closed and no wrong doing found on the part of Cell X.

The current Cell X comprised of agents Xenobia, Xavier, and Xerxes has been based out of New York City for almost a decade. Their continued presence in one location was justified by an ever increasing amount of strange and bizzare activity within the Tri-State area and the City itself.


1.) "And Faith Shall be Rewarded"

On October 31st at 2 am in the morning, a counter-terrorism exercise was completed by members of NYPD's 27th Precinct with oversight from certain federal agencies. Observers noticed large trucks pulling up to certain closed off subway stations scattered throughout the city - with large crowds of hooded men (later revealed to be "the terrorists" dressed in Halloween paraphenalia) being escorted onto the vehicles.

Although the NYPD and Mayor's Office hailed the event as a success, reports later in the week indicated that the plan did not go off without a hitch - one of the trucks used in the exercise was found empty in a cemetary in Glendale.

2.) "You can't Fight City Hall"

Mayor Mike Bloomberg recently announced another cultural initiative in an effort to cement New York City as the crossroads of the world. Hizzoner has set up a non-profit organization that works closely with the City to promote an educate the public about the importance and contributions made by minority populations to the wellbeing of New York.

This particular initiative seems to emphasize the local social culture and religious traditions that have been imported over time - with anthropologists, historians, and religious scholars being recruited for the organization. Some seem to carry dubious academic credentials while others seem a bit out of place. after all, what is an expert on Phoenician and Canaanite ritual practice doing on the governance board?

3.) "Brothers by a Different Mother"


The Commissioner's Office has announced that NYPD's 27th Precinct will now be host to a special Domestic Terrorism Task Force with broad ranging investigatory powers. For parties interested in back-office politics, one will notice that this new unit does have an official interface with certain federal agencies - a connection that was usually frowned on by the NYPD in the past due to its competition with the FBI and CIA post 9/11.

However, one must wonder about the efficiency of the whole project - as the first grant for incomes has been earmarked toward mental health care workers.


[For years we've held a kind of bias against the locals. Perhaps we were arrogant, perhaps we bought into the whole spy game. But you all know that the 27th cut their teeth on Halloween. You know that we now have friends in the Department and the Hall. At the very least, the pressure is off of us when dealing with the locals.
