Fortune & Glory the Cliffhanger Game

Finally got this yesterday.Just played a couple of two-player competitive games with Mrs Z this weekend, and I must say I am very impressed. It really does capture the Pulp feel, especially once you kick into the advanced rules, as there is a nazi zeppelin dropping off German soldiers across the globe. So far, we have only played onebasic competitive game, and one basic advanced game, and we are both very impressed. Next step is to read the advanced co-op rules and play that one.
    cheers
    Paul

The only thing bothering me about this one is the price. Do you find it's worth it?

Looks good, and your so lucky your other half plays the games, she who must not be named cries at the thought of a game of 'Happy Families', she has to go for a lie down in a darkened room if I as much as rattle the 'Monopoly' box
The static in my mind, leaves me hollow and unkind.

I shouldn't laugh, but... Well put, Noble!

I must have a look at this game, but having just got Elder Sign and Mansions of Madness, I think it will have to wait for some time to come.

Hmm, I note from this picture below that Canada appears to fall into the category of a 'Frozen Waste'!

I've done it before (paid £60, which was equivalent to US$100, for the new edition of RAF during a trip to London), and I'll do it again for this game, which shows a list price of $100. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be great. I glanced through the rulebook (which is posted on their website), and everything I saw made me want it more. Its tone actually reminds me some of your play-by-post game, The Pit of Lokheri. I've played and enjoyed a couple of Flying Frog games before (Last Night on Earth - The Zombie Game and Touch of Evil - The Supernatural Game). I actually managed to buy Touch of Evil and its big expansion, Something Wicked, for $25 each, but I would have paid more for them. And I've laid out a lot more than that for Arkham Horror and all of its expansions.

Yes indeed, that is a taboo subject in our house. However, that pales into insignificance wrt the amount of figures ( or minis ) I have amassed. Ooops....

I'm definitely not going to think about how much I've handed over for my collected RPGs...

No, no, must not go there. I'm just going to walk away so I don't have to roll SAN.

I failed my SAN roll years ago. My collection is huge.

This weekend, had another game of competitive, then two games of co-operative with 4 Adventurers. Co-op is a much longer, and far more complex. Both games we played against the Nazi Vile Organisation. Both times we won, the first time with the Nazi's needing one point, the second time they needed six points. This co-op game seems well balanced, as we probably should have lost the first game, but got lucky with several dice rolls. A completely different game experience to competitive, and just as satisfying. We still have the Mob competitive game to play !

In summary, you are buying two games in one here, top quality stuff, and we are eagerly looking forward to more games of this.

This really is a great Game,we've played 2 Co-op Advanced Games ,the Mob won the first one as neither of us could get the dice to cooperate,
but they behaved well for the Mob.The 2nd Game is againts the Nazis which is going better for us (so far)

FFG A Touch of Evil is our Favorite Game(more for it's Theme) but this comes close.
