Lovecraftian Letters - Magnetic Words from HPL

For those who've been following the hints on our Twitter account this is the new Yoggie project - Lovecraftian Letters! Yes, now you can create your own Lovecraftian miniature tales and share your dark wisdom with everyone in your kitchen with over 500 Lovecraft-inspired magnetic words!

We've set up a fundraiser preorder via IndieGoGo to help get this unique item into production. The preorder comes with a variety of additional benefits and exclusives and we anticipate that sets will start shipping very shortly after the fundraiser closes in early October.

Based on H.P. Lovecraft's unique lexicon, Lovecraftian Letters contains over 500 words and word fragments that allow anyone to create phrases and tell miniature tales of eldritch horror. The handsome set comes in a metal tin you can use to try out your squamous combinations before putting them on your fridge (or brain cylinder).

There's never been anything quite like it and it's only from YSDC.

We're just over 80% of the way to the target and still 30 days to go (as of posting). Thank you everyone for the support!

I've just had confirmation that the fine folks over at Hippocampus Press will be a sponsor of the forthcoming Cold Letters competition (thank you, Noble, for the title). The competition will be based on posting a photo of what fun/amusing/clever sentences or miniature tales you can make with a set of the magnetic words. There will be three levels of prizes and the competition will run from Halloween 2011 to 1st January, 2012.

More details to follow in due course!

Well, since you asked.

I'll repost here the various levels that provide you with a set:

A Person of Letters:
You will receive set of Lovecraftian Letters with the Eldritch Blue cover (exclusive to this preorder), plus Elder Sign magnets also exclusive to this preorder.

Lexicographer:
As "A Person of Letters", plus Elder Sign and "Cthulhu Fhtagn" magnets exclusive to this preorder. Your set is also marked with the seal of Yog-Sothoth and is signed and with a unique Lovecraftian word using a glass pen.

Wordsmith:
As "Lexicographer", plus additional magnets including "Master of Yog-Sothothery", custom "ph'nglui..." phrase, the Cthulhu Chase set (seen at the end of the video) and two large format Lovecraftian-inspired postcards.

Poet:
The highest level of contribution includes four "Wordsmith" sets and an exclusive handmade set unique to you along with a glass penned personal letter of thanks and attribution as "Sponsor" on two episodes of our multi-award winning audio shows.

Undescribed extra magnets/things will occur. Worldwide shipping is included with all preorders.

We fully intend to have these start shipping by mid-October (in time for Halloween). They will also make a great Christmas (or birthday!) gift for any Lovecraft fan.

It is excellent news! It means we won't have to raid Yorath's kitty kibble fund to have them made.

Also, there's now an alternative way to pre-order for any who wish to. It can be done directly at Innsmouth House.
