I mustn't be the only one who has read Tim Curran's book 'Hive' and been surprised by how this 2006 book is neatly connected to our own current events.

I think Mr Curran must have been in contact with Elder Thing scientists and divined how to open up a 'window' six years in the future. Needless to say, there's a lot of spine-tinglingly accurate overlap.

Let's just say, if the Russian scientists all vanish, we may have something to worry about.
