But Goatswood was such a winner! I'm sure you can find some unwittin... I mean eager person to buy a ms for Goatswood.

Have you considered selling your wife, instead?

HAs anyone considered that SDA may in fact be working for Nyarlathotep and trying to sow dissention and chaos among us? Besides think about it what is Stephen Alvis' middle name? David mayhaps?!?!?

Okay, well let them eat old cotters (and their wives)!

No, I really feel bad that I suggested anybody maltreat those poor, helpless kitties.

    So what would HPL do?

Have it both ways - buy the book, keep the kittens and just survive on cheese and crackers and canned beans for the near future. It's obvious!

    Alternatively:

I held the book beneath my coat, at pains
    To hide the thing from sight in such a place;
Hurrying through the ancient harbour lanes
With often-turning head and nervous pace.
Dull, furtive windows in old tottering brick
Peered at me oddly as I hastened by,
And thinking what they sheltered, I grew sick
For a redeeming glimpse of clean blue sky.

No one had seen me take the thing--but still
A blank laugh echoed in my whirling head,
And I could guess what nighted worlds of ill
Lurked in that volume I had coveted.
The way grew strange--the walls alike and madding--
And far behind me, unseen feet were padding.

    Errr, perhaps not.....

Drat! I've been found out! And I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for you meddling kids...!

Errrrr.... I don't know... the original manuscript PLUS correspondence from a mythos author?? I'd really hate to part with this, since it includes information over and above the published work, while the Glaaki edition is just a collectable version of something you probably already have (most likely several versions, to boot.)

I'll put in a second vote on "WWLD?" - Keep the kittens, keep the goat(wood), and take the crackers and beans route.

Hey: if you can develop a taste for kitten Chow, you can just buy it in the really big bags, and then the problem is solved!

My SO will give them a good home (as in "free to a..") if you want them re-housed

    yes....yes I beileve he did...

AND HE WOULD BE VERY, VERY ANGRY AT YOU PEOPLE!

If you are going to EAT the cats, at least use some dignity. Use Italian dressing.

I'm seriously thinking of throwing a bid in... But I really don't like Glakki. Yet I like the book. Hmmm.....

Well, tempter_de has met sda's reserve price of $300 (US).

I cannot bid like I used to, that's what a £10,000 pay cut in two years can do to you.

I've had a rummage in the old Innsmouth attic and come across a spare copy of The Unspeakable Oath issue 2, (contributor's edition), a possible alternative to offering up the Goatswood ms.

Will have to think a little more, but only a day or so to go...

The Contributor's Edition list looks a little sparse.

Do we even know what all the 50(?) 'mythos entity' names are? So far we have two confirmed - and both from Campbell stories!
