I could have definitely used this if it was finished and I had known about it sooner!![]()

I ended up introducing a couple friends to the game over the summer and managed to find this just days before we started. So I guess I've playtested the thing and indeed it is beautiful. I'm still kind of a novice keeper (always hard to find players) but for what it's worth, here's my impression--
The map for the Alley and Newspaper Office really helped my Players get into the mood of the period, and it was useful to bring out a map *before* combat occured, so that they didn't jump to the conclusion map=combat. On the other hand, they tried to search desk drawers and things which were essentially irrelevant to the plot, a minor speedbump.
The House Main Floor map corrects a problem with the layout of the house as published in the scenario, by combining one of the rooms with the main hallway. Clever. One of the other rooms doesn't appear in the scenario (or I couldn't ID it in the heat of the moment), so watch out for that one; maybe redraw the keeper's map.
The Church of Starry Wisdom map is missing (consider this an eager request for more rather than a complaint!).
Lastly, Corbitt is plainly visible in his resting place; if I were going to use these again, I would crop the image twice, once for when the players find the entrance to the crypt, and another including the crypt itself. The problem here, even in decent light, is that this map is very dark, and I ended up having to pull it up on my laptop (and zoom in to avoid spoiling it).
These maps were very, very, very, very, very, VERY fun to have; I only wish this same thing would be available for one of the published scenarios. (--Better yet--the ARKHAM GUIDEBOOK!)

These look really nice although I could see players getting spoilt and demanding this level of artistic endeavour every game!
Imagine this kind of floorplans for all the scenarios in Mansions of Madness!

Most excellent!
The vast wings of dark, forgotten gods hovered over that hideous pile of antiquity.

I have completed all the props and only have a few more floorplans to do,
besides I want to play this adventure myself.....
....keep you posted
Very impressive work, Cisticola! Any chance you could post some works-in-progress? I would love to see your process for the floor maps and props.
Just awesome, truly!
I have a gaming group (at my local club) that has not played "The Haunting," so I am really looking forward to seeing these completed.

Holy cow, these are amazing. Cisticola, you ever thought about approaching Chaosium with these? I bet the HPL Historical Society would be interested in your talent as well...

Cisticola if you don't mind my asking, how do you do these? I'm curious about your artistic process? Are they hand drawn and scanned in or what? I'm not much of an artist I just wonder how someone goes about creating such fantastic props and what sort of time it takes you per item.
Really appreciate you making your hard work available on your blog, by the way!
Damn!!!My jaw just struck oil... Cisticola, you are a true wizard in art. Keep up the good work.
