    Hi from the new guy

Hi. I'm new to the board. My name is Tom. I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since 1986. It was the first RPG I Game-Mastered. I co-created and co-ran the LARP group "Adventures in Mid-Land" (Based in NY) for over a decade before resigning in 2002. I have a Lovecraft based film short called "Enter the Dagon" hitting the festivals soon, and with post-production almost over I'm looking to play a bit more Call of Cthulhu in my new free-time. How is that CoC Dark Ages? I noticed that in the store, but have yet to buy a copy.

Welcome! Will your film make the rounds? When?

There is a sneak preview in my home city of Rochester, NY on May 8th. Then the official premiere is in Dayton, Ohio on May 29th at the Scary Camp convention. www.scarycamp.com

There are possibilities of showings in Baltimore, MD; NYC; Virginia; Providence, RI and at the Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, OR. Those showings will be firmed up as soon as the film score is finished being added and we are able to submit the film to festival/convention organizers.

The film is a Lovecraftian Martial Arts Mockumentary. Think "Bowfinger" crossed with "This is Spinal Tap" only with Deep Ones fighting ninjas. We also plan to make the film available for download and will have it on DVD for sale.

After watching "Kill Bill: Vol. 2," and visiting your site, I can't help but imagine a nasty showdown in the 19th Century between Pai Mei and the Mythos...

    He's new! Let's get him!

Welcome aboard. Love the EtD trailer.

    Thanks King.

Pai Mei rocks! The audience cracked up everytime the guy touched his beard when I saw KB Vol. 2. I noticed a similarity between his "I own your arm" line from Vol. 2 and Uma's "leave your severed limbs. They belong to me." line from Vol. 1.

Hiya Spinning…er…Tom, welcome to the list. I see you are already all over the forums like a Formless Spawn. That’s good, you should fit right in here.

I will have it available on VHS and DVD as well as a free download on-line eventually. The download won't be as clear, and some of the in-jokes are lost with blurred out words, but hell...it'll be free.

If you are in Europe you are actually in the prime location to view my next project. I'm in pre-production on a music video for British goth band "Killing Miranda". Turns out they are Lovecraft fans who also have a song titled "Enter the Dagon". They discovered my trailer on-line and gave me permission to use their song in my film. Then they asked me to direct their first music video which will appear on European Mtv. We're still in the early stages of pre-production with me writing and submitting script treatments to them. Unfortunately the song the video will be for isn't "Enter the Dagon", but the video may still have a horror feel to it.

The band has a web site:
    http://www.killingmiranda.com/

The song "Enter the Dagon" is available for free download at:
    http://stage.vitaminic.co.uk/killing_miranda

I really like their ETD song. It's a quasi-industrial metal tune with blasphemous lyrics. Same title as my film, but much much darker in concept. Considering the band could have been jerks and told me their song was copyrighted and that I couldn't use my film title without a lawsuit....I think they must be pretty cool guys to react the way they did.

    Great

And about that band... I don't watch MTV anymore... But good luck on the video...
