    Die Farbe

    Greetings!

I'd like to show you the teaser trailer for "Die Farbe" - a German adaptation of "The Colour Out of Space" (yes, another one ) which we are going to shoot this summer.
So this is only some sort of foretaste for what's to come.

Hope you like it - please let us know what you think about it:

there's a medium quality Flash embedded video on our website as well as a high quality H.264 file for download (see under 'findings')
    http://www.die-farbe.com

and the obligatory low quality version on YouTube

    Thanks!

I really hope we can meet the expectations with the final film.

I have only recently discovered the other film adaptation in progress by Ivan Zuccon and I think our approach is totally different. Both films will have their audience I guess.

Look very very interesting!! Is it going to be a black and white feature? (I suspect the color to be "in color" )

Looking very nice, at least the CGI is well done. Keep it up and it'll be great

Looks quite promosing. I like the monochromaticism, it seems like it's going to really drive home the alien nature of the colour. Definitively something to keep an eye on, I would say.

Yes, the concept is to hold everything in black & white exept for the colour itself.

It's a simple stylistic trick but I think it's a really good way to visualize the idea of Lovecraft.

And black & white is just beautiful and perfectly fitting. Frank Darabont's "The Mist" was also released in black & white now because he feels that it is better:

Last week our first shooting ended after 16 days. It cost us sweat and pain, but the effort paid out, beautiful shots could be made. Making of pictures of the shooting can be seen now under 'Findings'.

Unfortunately we also did exceed the scheduled budget, thereby threatening the second shooting. You can support us by becoming a sponsor. Every contribution is highly welcome!

I think you should give your cinematographer a big raise. It looks gorgeous! I have to admit that the overview of the story, as given in the trailer, gets kind of lost towards the last half. Is something bad happening? Is anyone in danger? Has the colour done something to the people i'm being shown? Alas, i have no idea.

But don't worry, i'll still see it.
