You know, this reminds me of a few things from the scenario Dead of Night in the Arkham sourcebook...................
It reminds of The Adventure of the Cardboard Box (Homes short story featuring a box containing three ears)Originally Posted by eltrevo

The trouble with stories like this is that you never get the follow up. Things are probably looked into but for some reason it never makes the news.

Any way I'm still banking on it being the hungry Rhan Tegoth or a load of undead arctic explorers.
Well, there is definitely something "SINISTER" about it. Get it?
It's not that hard, people.
There is obviously a sharp rock that barely crops out of the water near one of the islands' famous Water Skiing spots. People hear of this great spot and take their boats to go water skiing there. They always go in the same direction, away from the sun, to keep the sun out of the eyes of the water-skier. The sharp rock cropping is near the shore, of course. With all the boats going the same direction (because of the sun), it is always the same foot that gets cut off.
The "sneakers" are actually what you see in this picture:

Maybe it's that Armenian hit man from The Shield. The one that looked like Rasputin.
Vot is point?

It is creepy. I was riding my bike this weekend and thought I passed by a shoe/foot in the middle of the street. I was sufficiently creeped out that I just kept riding, rather than turn around to chance a SAN check.Originally Posted by Lingering_Dark
