I really enjoyed The Tunnel. Good call.

I was just watched another short (this one 10 mins or so) that's going around the festival circuit right now called H.P. Lovecraft's The Shunned House. Sadly...

    …mild spoiler…

    Spoiler:
The filmmakers felt the need to change the ending and in doing so pretty much cut out anything that was Lovecraftian about the movie. It was still a fun and enjoyable spooky story, but it was far more a generic haunted house/vampire tale.

So should you see it? Yes. I did enjoy it, despite its flaws. If you get a chance to check this one out, do so.

+1 for The Tunnel. You need to be a fan of the found-footage genre but it's nice to see that it focuses as much on the character's personalities as the horror.

I have something for you if you like Z-grade dung. Curse of the Blue Lights: ghouls trying to revive an ancient god, zombies, thirty year olds playing teenagers.

Finally got around to watching The Tunnel. As others above have said, it was very good.

Also watched Malefique. Thanks to PaulFricker for the recommendation for the recommendation. I'm definitely going to steal the bit where:
    Spoiler:
Pâquerette tries to eat the book and it takes its revenge. That's what happens when my players next try to burn a book they find

Some other stuff I've seen recently that's inspired me that isn't Lovecraftian:

1408 - I really enjoyed it, I thought it was a little punchier than King's usual. Some great ideas for messing with player's sanity.
Strike Back - I watched all of Season 1. Fairly standard action show, no horror, but if you run Delta Green (like I do) there's plenty of good inspiration here.

Ironically, considering the name of this thread, the last lovecraftian movie I watched was The Last Lovecraft. It's a lower-budget comedy movie about a guy who is lovecraft's last living relative and he must save the world from certain tentacle-ly doom. It was a fun movie, of course it wasn't really scary at all, but definitely worth watching...

I haven't seen any movie I'd call Lovecraftian for a long time now, but I have been looking out for some hint or background prop connected to Cthulhu in the Big Bang Theory... no success yet, however. Well, the show is probably to cheery for Loveraftian references...

I don't know if Big Bang is too cheery for a Lovecraft reference. "Amy" works with monkeys that smoke in her lab and that's not so warm and fuzzy.
They may not have a point of reference themselves (the writers, that is). IIRC, they prominently display DC characters in the local comic book shop and in their apartment, but I don't think they mention Marvel characters all that much. If DC/Warner Brothers had a Lovecraft comic to promote, I am sure it would find its way in the show rather "subtly."

I'm sure someone in the university staff would have a Cthulhu plushie or something similar in their office. If not the Science department, then the English department perhaps? Maybe they need a kind email from a fan prompting them to sneak a Great Old One into the show someplace.

Last i watched was Whisperer in Darkness. Liked it a lot despite the diversion from the original and the creatures not matchi9ng my picturing of them.

Fell asleep during? Only one was Die Monster Die and that was without knowing at the time it was a lovecraft(ian) film and it was on tv well after midnight and i was in my early teens so unused to late nights.

Re: The last Lovecraft(ian) film you watched...

Recently watched Clive Barker's 'Lord of Illusions'.

Started pretty strong, but I feel it went downhill from there. The first scene easily suggests the conclusion of a modern day scenario.

Also watched the Night Gallery episode of Pickman's Model. It was good, if a little dated.

Another post hot on the heels of the last one.

Yesterday I finished off Season 2 of Scooby Doo, Mystery Incorporated.

Now if you haven't seen the series that won't sound very Lovecraftian, but if you've been watching it you'll know it has it's moments. A spoiler filled summary of the events of season 2 can be found here (click 2 minute preview near the top of the page). Sounds like a classic Cthulhu campaign to me. Towards the end of the series there were many references to Miskatonic and it's implied if the show returns for another season, that's who'll be employing them to investigate mysteries.

If you haven't seen the show, give it a chance. It's very solidly written and does a good job of pointing out the irrational logistics of investigating mysteries basically full time (many of which apply to Call of Cthulhu).

Here are a few clips to give you some idea of what I'm talking about. Not embedded because I didn't want to take up too much space
