The static in my mind, leaves me hollow and unkind.
One could picture the daemoniac fray between namelessly monstrous entities as it surged out of the black abyss... with great clouds of frantic penguins squawking and scurrying ahead.
The last Lovecraft movie I watched was Attack the Block, not for any Lovecraftian stylings that appeared, but becuase the monsters in it had a distinctly 'off' quality that a Lovecraft monster would have, like their atoms vibrate differently. As one character says, they're "the blackest ever black", sort of light-absorbing. The blue glow-in-the-dark bits of them as good as well: they look very nearly (except for colour) what Moon Beasts would probably look like.
I thought Cigarette Burns was good too Craig! If you haven't seen "Devil's Rock" (WW2 film) check it out, as it has a very nice Lovecraft feel/tone.
"I longed to learn the songs the demons sing as they swoop between the stars"

I always thought In the Mouth of Madness was one of the best HPLish movies. Hopefully guillermo Del Toro can finally get At the Mountains of Madness off the ground. I hear there is still a ray of hope!
Hey guys. I've got a big list of Lovecraftian movies here: http://lovecraftzine.com/movies/ I want it to be a resource for Lovecraftians, so if you guys know of something that should be on the list that isn't, I'd sure appreciate your input an expertise.![]()
I would like to add The Vulture from 1967. I haven't seen it yet but I saw the Cinemassacre review. A warlock is resurrected and somehow fuses with his pet vulture buried with him which equals a ghastly abomination. And he has a bone to pick with a few townspeople (descendants of the guys who killed him). You can watch the whole thing here:

Maybe it has been posted before, but this music video is pretty much lovecraftian (A little gruesome too)
I’ve got to give thanks to Joe Pulver for the heads up on this one. It’s a short film (about 40 mins) and it can be a bit hard to track down, but it’s totally worth it. It’s called AM1200 and any self-respecting lover of Lovecraft should give it a watch. Here’s the trailer to whet your appetite.
No Nyarlathotep, no chaos.
Know Nyarlathotep, know chaos.
Something on my 'to watch' list for the weekend: The Tunnel
Looks like the standard sort of ghoul story. It's Australian too (add or deduct points as you feel is required)
Edit: Turns out it's also available as a free, legal torrent which can be got from here.
Edit 2: Trailer
