Editorials: YSDC Webcast: 'The Haunting' Live

 We always like to play with technology in furtherance of the message of the Great Old Ones, and this time we thought as a one-off, we'd try a live webcast of a some of our local group (some members of the Masks audio game) playing through the classic (and first ever) Call of Cthulhu scenario: The Haunting.
In association with the kind folks at CamStreams we've got a video webcam feed available via: www.yog-sothoth.com/live which should be fully active for the game due to start Wednesday evening (UK), 7th June, 2006 at (approx) 8:00PM (20:00) British Summer Time (GMT+1).
It's experimental and likely novel for RPGing, as long as our bits of electronic sticky tape and glue hold together, it should be fun!
Why choose The Haunting? Well, besides being a popular and well loved scenario, it's also freely available to download as part of Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu Quick Start Rules, so you can follow our adventures through in real time on the printed page. Anyway, fingers & tentacles crossed for a live site event, and see us there?

For this one-off event, by special arrangement with CamStreams, 50 simultaneous streams should be available.
The streaming technology uses Windows Media, however Mac fans can still access the feed via Windows Media Player for the Mac.
We accept no responsibilty what-so-ever for this actually being "alright on the night", and as is the nature of live events we will try to be on (generally) good behaviour!
Who knows what we'll do next...?
