News: Atlas Games to Release 'Cthulhu 500' Card Game

 Atlas Games have announced that they are working on a new Cthulhu inspired card game called 'Cthulhu 500'. As the name suggests, Cthulhu 500 is a racing game with a Mythos theme. It's expected to be released at Gen Con (Indy) 2004, in August.
John Nephew, President of Atlas Games had this to tell us:
"We are planning the game to be a two-deck set (110 cards), similar in basic size/packaging to our games Lunch Money and Dungeoneer, most likely with a $19.95 (US) price tag. Scott Reeves is hard at work drawing card pictures.
Each player chooses a car for the race, and as the game goes on can to pick up special drivers/pit crew (such as "The Fungi from Detroit"), and car enhancements (such as "Rats in the Whitewalls"). And, you know, summon Elder Gods to step on your opponents' cars, and the like."
Below is the first publicly released sample artwork from the game.
It looks as though 2004 will be a bumper year for Cthulhu gaming with Chaosium gearing up their publishing schedule and both Fantasy Flight Games (CoC CCG) and EOS Press (Creatures & Cultists) also planning to release Cthulhu related card games.
