Managed to listen to both of these now.
Thought that character generation was entertaining, but I loved Neil's comments about Paul describing his character.
Septimus Vane!
Yeah, you can just see him pulling out a neatly typed manuscript. That said, I loved the attention to detail. The carvings on the wheelchair... _________________ "There is no safety in numbers, or in anything else." -- James Thurber
Oh good. I'm particularly interested in how the moving from one part to another is handled. I loved the set pieces of Tatters, but I thought the stitching between them was weak.
That makes me wish I'd kept my old character books.
My favourite character was an "amateur surgeon" called Dr. Burke (after a character from Beneath A Steel Sky).
I like how many spells the first one knows. How is that even possible without going insane? lol. _________________ Its beginning to look a lot like fishmen...
Just listened to character creation and session #1 of TATTERS OF THE KING audio game.
I think that the first session was some of the best roleplaying from the Bradford Players that I've heard to date. I was laughing out loud at Fin's character's protest of the shutting down of the play at the local theatre. Terrific roleplaying by everyone. Great roleplaying by Sophie, the newest player at the table. And Neil is doing a terrific job as Keeper.
Thanks you guys for providing me with some very entertaining audio fare while I was engaged in the drudgery of raking my lawn (late autumn in New England = lots and lots of fallen leaves).
