I woke up this morning to another cold spring day in Japan. As I dragged my way from the bed, to the sink, to the door to my bike my mind was elsewhere. Somewhere between Lynway, The Cleaves and Watersmeet my mind winded. My eyes came to rest on a painting by Maurice Bishop of the Valley of Rocks as I made my way out the front door into the harsh light of day.
Would I ever leave that place we call home, perhaps not. As I cycled to work my mind made plans and schemes to get back there somehow.
Well it’s been over two weeks now since I’ve picked up a paintbrush. The models are all packed away in the top cupboard along with the jazz mags The paints, brushes, spray cans and dips are all in the utility cave.
It’s been an absolute blast and a busy 5 years or so. Since 2008 when I rediscovered the hobby after a hiatus in England I have painted something almost every week sometimes every day. I thought I’d put some links to my finished armies here as a record. They are not the best

Thought I'd write up the epilogue while it is still fresh in our minds.
First off thank you all for coming back to the table again and again for these adventures and investigations. Thank you Leslie for letting us game so late. Secondly well done to a group of investigators who have done very well for themselves. Nobody went insane and nobody died, some really well thought out role playing was enjoyed by each character along the way and we had quite a few laughs

Lord Waverly McIvor (Dave) finally met our investigators. After comparing notes about the strange film they watched they decided to visit Scotland Yard to re identify the body of Miss Petra Rauch the German film actress. Also McIvor is curious about the film he saw and the suspicious circumstances of the film stars death.

Our investigators have started their story in London in the year 1920. A new German expressionist film called Nightmare in Silence is screening at the Curzon theatre in Soho. The film has been banned in the States and other theatres in Europe for reasons unknown.
