Origins 2009

by trevlix on 30th June 2009 at 03:12 PM
Origins 2009 has come and gone. I had a great time and thought I would post a write-up of my experience and my observations. For the second year, I went to Origins with my wife and oldest daughter so my experience was a tad different than previous years.

We got there Wednesday night to pick up out badges and tickets. Since Origins officially opened up more time on Wednesday for games, more people have been showing up earlier. The shoggoth.net room (where we run CoC games) already

Thought everyone here would appreciate this. For my b-day, my in-laws gave me a first edition signed copy of Campbell's Cold Print. Very cool.

News and Chat Log

by trevlix on 28th May 2008 at 06:17 PM
Origins is coming up soon and I'm looking forward to that. I won't be running as many games as I normally do but that will also mean that I will get to play more.

I was supposed to run Crack'd and Crook'd Manse but only 3 players showed up. This really wasn't enough to run the game so I cancelled it. One player got into Oscar's game and the other two came back for the 9AM CoC game we were running. I was a little disappointed I didn't get to run it as its only of my favorites, but I have to admit I

Origins 2007 - Friday and Saturday

by trevlix on 9th July 2007 at 05:29 PM
Friday morning came and I got up way too early in the morning so I could grab a quick breakfast (yah hotels with free breakfasts) and headed down to the room (coffee in hand) to get it set up for the 8AM games. I was running an All Flesh Must Be Eaten game called "Blizzard of the Century" and Charles Geis ran a CoC one named "The Thing on the Ice".

Both games started off well. The game involves the PCs being trapped in their apartment building in the middle of a huge blizzard in
